Mildred the Cat - lazy mom, active cat

Howdy everybody. How ya all doin'? I''m ok. I'm usually ok, even great. That's just who I am. Sometimes I think my mom should change my pen name to Mildred the Great instead of Mildred the Cat.

I’ve gently suggested to my mom (gently because I don’t want my chicken treats withdrawn) that she should get out of her writing slump and write something. She’s been doing lots of other things on the internet lately to bring in the big bucks, but not much writing.

My mom is in a winter duldrums writing slump. She’s so sick of winter she said she could scream but she doesn’t want to scare me. She is thoughtful.

I say scream, if that’s what it takes to get her back to the keyboard. She loves to write and I’m hoping she’ll get back to it soon. In the meantime, I’ll try to write more to keep our mutual Persona Paper site up and running.

Sending a special shout-out to my handsome prince, Guiness the Cat ( OldRoadsOnceTraveled ). Guiness, please hurry with that RV road trip, hopefully to some tropical island, some place where winter and snow never happen. I need it. My mom needs it.

Well, nap time is here again.

Till next time, purrs, paws and high fives.

Love your photo, Mildred. Hope all of your in the PCBA can get your show on the road soon.

your kitty is cute and fluffy, mine is shedding furs

So - I have discovered your weak spot. You don't like snow and cold weather! In that case I think I can relax because you and your feline cohorts won't be visiting my homeland any time soon - not with the weather we have been having recently emoticon

So a road trip is planned for two wonderful kitties. I think you should take the moms along for the ride.

Mildred, hon, I don't blame your mom for being fed up of winter. I would be too, if it had been as bad here as it has been with you. You need to be extra loving to mom at this time, because us humans tend to believe that having a cat talk to us in purrs and meows, be attentive to us, and show you love us is good for our soul. Chicken soup for the soul, we say. And I know you know about chicken soup...

We're saving up our kibble for spring, Kasman.

My dearest Mildred the Great (I like that name),

An RV trip to some tropical island sounds heavenly after being attacked by some monster snowflakes this week (see my pitiful picture on my human's post about some silly old flowers I could care less about). Unfortunately the RV fund is in dire need of, well, funding. Meow! I wonder if the Professional Cat Bloggers Association could set up one of those donation sites where humans could send up gobs of money?

Sincerely, your handsome prince, Guiness the Cat

Dear Guiness ( OldRoadsOnceTraveled ) - we could set up one of those "fund me" thingies like humans do. Even if we don't get enough to take everybody on the trip, you and I could take off somewhere for a long weekend or something.

LindaCPearson wrote on March 1, 2015, 10:14 AM

Dear Kasman - Don't rule out a visit from Guiness and me. We do have very heavy fur coats and could just show up on your doorstep one of these days, with or without our moms and with or without advance warning!

Nap time AGAIN? You stay so busy, Mildred! Hope your mom finds some more good topics for writing.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on March 1, 2015, 11:14 PM

This is Guiness the Cat. Oh, we're definitely taking them along. Someone has to drive, and open the cat food cans, and clean the litter box.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on March 1, 2015, 11:23 PM

Dear Mildred the Gorgeous,

Of course, it would help if I could get my mom to write more, too. She's been doing other things on the internet to make money, too. I suppose I can't complain since she did buy me cat food.

Sincerely, your Handsome Prince, Guiness the Charming

I can't disagree, time for winter to move on asap.

Mildred, I don't know how well RVing to a tropical island would work. Perhaps, a private plane would be better?

The Fuzzy Trio say that springtime is not that far off. That is what the birds have been telling them.

LindaCPearson wrote on March 3, 2015, 9:10 AM

You could be right about the RV getting to the tropical island. I'll have to see what Guiness says about the private plane but I think a plane is way too much for our budget.

LilyDay wrote on March 3, 2015, 11:32 AM

Perhaps, a boat? Then, you kitties could sun yourselves on the deck while the humans do the work of navigating the thing.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on March 16, 2015, 11:33 PM

Dear Fuzzy Trio's mom,

I'm afraid at the moment, not even a row boat is in our budget. We need a corporate sponsor. Surely there is some company somewhere who would pay dearly for our endorsement. After all, we're not just plain old cute kitties. We're famous.

Sincerely, Guiness the Cat

Dear sweet, beautiful, Mildred,

I'm getting a bit concerned. You haven't posted since this new cat showed up. Should I be jealous? Am I still your handsome prince?

Worriedly, Guiness the Cat

LindaCPearson wrote on March 17, 2015, 1:43 PM

Dearest Worriedly Guiness - Don't be concerned. I'm not cheating on you and haven't seen either hide or hair of that mystery cat since the first sighting. Maybe I had too much catnip that day and just thought I saw a black cat tail. My mom and I have been terrible about writing the past few months. My mom's been real busy lately as have I. I've also upped my number of daily naps, which is delightful but not very productive. I'll try to get something posted soon. I do keep up wth your goings on though. Love and non-cheating thoughts, Mildred the Beautiful Napper

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on March 17, 2015, 9:47 PM

Dearest Milliboo,

I am so relieved. I thought maybe you had left me for a younger cat. Well, I can take a nice peaceful nap now to relax.

Debbi said if I would do less napping, I'd get more writing done. She's a fine one to talk about not getting more written. She has, however, been quite productive of late during these gorgeous spring days taking gorgeous pictures of gorgeous little me. I will get her to upload one for you, if I can ever get her to stop wasting her time on silly pictures of silly yellow flowers.

Hugs and kisses,

Love, your Handsome Prince Charming, Guiness the Cat

LindaCPearson wrote on March 18, 2015, 9:44 AM

Dear Guiness - you're lucky Debbi even knows how to take pictures, even if it's just flowers. My mom isn't too good with techie things and downloading pictures that actually fit into the posts, so I don't have many gorgeous pictures of gorgeous me to offer you. My human sister talked my mom into getting a smart phone that takes great pictures, but I think the phone is smarter than my mom. She can take the pictures but can't always get them to download.

I'm feeling another nap coming on. Love, Milliboo the bootiful.
