My Hashtag Awards Acceptance Speech

Was torn between what to title this article. The alternate title was: “My Shock, Awe and Surprise Moment”.
So you know how you publish a blog post but that's not enough because it's no good if nobody sees or read it. Right? Hit the publish button. Next step: Going the extra mile. Actually it feels like you go 500 thousand bazillion million trillion miles to ensure that your post get exposure and hopefully traffic. There's some ridiculous ratio – can't remember what it is and besides it has probably changed – but the ratio is like for every one tweet, you might get 20 views out of an audience 20 million potential viewers. That means you really have to hustle!
Accidentally, because that's my discovery process. It's accidental. Don't really have a plan. Don't know what I'm doing, where I'm going, what I'm searching for, I end up at this site.
Wait. Let me back up. Today is “Throwback Thursday” and most of the time, my “throwback” always comes to me on a day other than Thursday. Determined not to let that happen today, went searching for stuff to share as on part of “Throwback Thursday”. Ended up at a website called hashtagsear.ch . In the search results saw something about SuperFruit . It's a big deal!
-
The voice on the right side in the white robe says: “Hey! It's Throwback Thursday!”
-
The voice on the left side wearing red says: “Abort the mission! Super fruit! Yum!”
Click!! Welcome to the wonderful world of SuperFruit !
Published a few posts about super food and super fruit because the health benefits interest me, and most of those fruits are wonderfully delicious. Scrolling down the page and found one of my posts!! Shock, Awe and Surprise! There it was! My tweet-post about the African Baobab Tree , on some site that was completely unknown to me. Felt so honored.
Lesson learned? Never underestimate the power of the hashtag. If my link share had not been hashtagged SuperFruit , it would have missed out on a moment of glory! :)

Well, that was a wonderful surprise to see your hard work in an expected place.

I definitely believe in the power of sharing to social media, whether it be my own work or someone else's. I share here from Persona Paper whenever I find something that gives me pause or is quality in one manner or another. As you say though, a single share doesn't generally bring much of a boost.
1Buffer.com offers a free service to re-share your links again. There is also a paid service which offers more, but I have stuck with the non-paid at this time. Perhaps you use other methods?

Currently using their free service. But Buffer.com must think, I think, I own an interest in their company. It's a great sharing tool!! I definitely use it!

NOTE TO SELF: This site no longer exists. Also, deleted my tweet because link changed.
