Clearing Out the DVR - What TV Shows Do You Watch?

When I got back from my trip to Philadelphia, my husband complained that our DVR was about ready to fill up--we hadn't watched any of our recorded programs in a while, and it was reading 93% full. I really can't stand commercials, and sometimes we don't want to watch a whole show at once, so we use our DVR for almost everything (I will even tape the Superbowl and awards shows like the Grammys and the Oscars, too).

So every now and then, we have to embark upon a serious effort to watch and subsequently delete as many shows as we can. The shows that I watch by myself are Gotham, Sleepy Hollow, Elementary, Stalker and The Mysteries of Laura, and the shows we watch together are CSI, Criminal Minds, Once Upon a Time, Constantine and Castle (yeah, we like cop shows!)

Do you prefer the DVR (or TiVo) to live TV? What are your favorite shows to watch?

I was not even sure what a DVR was. However, I have no television. I can see how recordings would back up.

I really do not watch much television. I do watch a lot of old movies.

I watch mostly movies. But I do like "The Americans" on FX, and "Madam Secretary" on CBS.

I saw the lineup for the next season of "Dancing With the Stars", and I've pretty much decided to sit this season out - I've only ever heard of four out of the eleven.

I do this too! I love being able to fast forward through all the adverts.

I've no mechanism to record programs. My telly is a bit like the one in your image, it's a borrowed portable with an internal aerial :)
