30-Day Song Challenge, Day Three - A Song that Makes You Happy
A song that really makes me happy when I hear it is "Two Hearts" by Phil Collins, from the soundtrack for the movie Buster, also available on the …Hits CD . I love to hear this song when I am driving, and I will pump it up and bop along to the music. With its lively tempo and soaring melody, this gorgeous, blue-skies-forever sounding song will banish a glum mood so effectively, there's no wonder it won a Golden Globe award in 1988, as well as a Number One position on the Billboard Hot 100.
As a solo artist, Phil Collins had a much livelier, more pop style than the band Genesis, which he had fronted after the departure of Peter Gabriel, their original vocalist. He had many big hits, and I like pretty much all of them, but this one stands out specifically as a song that is just pure happiness!

AliCanary I love 80's music and this song is great, I like Phil Collins and Genesis, but naturally a song that makes me happy is Happy by Pharrell Williams!

I've been wracking my memory banks to recall this song, but so far I've failed. It's worth looking up on YouTube, though, if it's got you bopping in your car. : )

'The Way We Walk' by Genesis is a favorite song of mine. Not really a big Phil Collins fan but I do like 'Another Day In Paradise' . Thanks for sharing the list, I have to get started with this challenge.

I've always been sort of "meh" about Phil Collins, although I seem to like everything I've heard him do. I'm not sure what that's about. Weird.
