Journal Entry 02-25-2015
Good morning or whatever part of the day it is for you. Today is Wednesday February 25, 2015. The temperature is 49.5°F and the humidity is 76% at 4:59 a.m. PST (-8 GMT). Weather Underground shows sustained winds at 0 with gusts of 1.6 mph. It was clear when I stuck my head out. Saw the Big Dipper quite clearly. The moon had set. Weather Underground is predicting a 0% chance of precipitation and a high of 73 today.
I was about halfway to my pick-up yesterday when I noticed some visual distortion. The freeway wall started moving. It only lasted for about a second, but it scared the hell out of me. I got off the freeway, parked in a Denny’s parking lot and called the call center to let them know I didn’t think I could safely complete the drive. God forbid I have someone else in the car and wreck. This is not the first time something like this has happened, but the first time while I was driving. I’ve always associated it with migraines, which I used to get quite frequently. I haven’t had one in probably five years. And true to form, I had a nasty headache. After about 20 minutes, I drove home on surface streets, shaking all the way. I spent most of the day sleeping on the couch then went to bed about 8 p.m.
Part of what may have brought this on is that I haven’t slept well for a while and I hadn’t eaten yesterday morning. I wasn’t hungry.
Still haven’t heard from my sister who’s here on vacation. I wonder if she did go back early after all.
Thanks for reading. Hope you and yours are all well and happy. Hope the day brings you good things.

I bet that was a scary drive for you. My dad and sister used to have terrible migraines, but they both were treated and are fine now.

As had been said, life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. :-/

It was. Sound walls on the side of the freeway are not supposed to move. Glad your dad and sister are doing well with the migraines. I remember lying on the bathroom floor because I was so busy tossing my cookies. I don't want to do that again.

Migraines or any sort of headache are t nice to deal with. Sleep is usually the best thing.
