They Love Those Meeces to Pieces

My husband just returned from the dog park with our rescue pup Little Miss. Our little girl pup is one lucky dog since her dog dad takes her to the dog park every morning.

Little Miss has a posse of buddies with whom she hangs every day. Today she frolicked with Allie, Otis, and Mocha. I never knew that Little Miss was following in her dog mom's footsteps by getting into the teaching game.

Little Miss taught Allie how to catch mice that are under the snow. Allie's dog mom was a bit unnerved regarding Allie's brand new skill, but she handled it well.

Lesson Plan for Mouse Catching

1. Sniff, sniff, sniff

2. Dig, dig, dig to uncover mouse.

3. Grab mouse with your teeth.

4. Play with mouse by tossing it into the air again and again.

5. Leave bloody, dead mouse behind when it is time to go home.

Allie did give Little Miss a kiss for the mouse-hunting lessons. Little Miss kissed her back. I suppose Little Miss opened up a whole new world of carnage for Allie.

My heart breaks for those poor little mice though.

Ewwww. My dog spends a lot of time poking his head in the snow, but has never come up with anything alive.

My dog does not like the snow. She licks to chase ducks though, they can get her running through the snow.

Yiaaaakkkkssss!!! 't know if I will have to pity those mice, but if they will not be killed they will surely pest our households. My cat who passed away really know how to get one in just one jump, Lol! But his son? Argh!!! He does not know how to smell and grab one, he does not want grabbing one, all he does is to eat, play and sleep.

I know The grossness of this wild behavior is something a nice girl dog should not do!

Little Miss is a Chow/Shepherd mix and has a double coat of fur. She loves this cold weather.

I am sorry the son of your cat is not a mouser! Oh well. We had a black kitty who was a master of mouse hunting. She freaked us out!

I am really glad that my late pups were not so inclined.
