A Humorous Driver I Met Yesterday Evening

After having dinner with my parent-in-law yesterday, I went back to my small apartment. I took a taxi to go back home.

After I got in the car, the driver told to me with a smile, “happy spring festival.” I said the same to him. He asked, “Where have you been or where will go? It’s so late now.”

“I just had dinner with my parents-in-law.”

“Ha, why don’t you marry a man who lives with you in the same district?”

I also said humorously, “why? I have no choice because I love him.”

He laughed. He is very talkative. He told me much about his funny story, and even sang the song loudly. I laughed to the death. It’s been a happy journey to sit in his taxi.

It is so much nicer to have a happy taxi driver rather than a real misery, isn't it?

It does sound like you had a nice ride with a very jolly fellow. So many great people out there!

Some taxi drivers can make the ride really worth while, but others can be a silent misery. You were lucky.

I bet he lives to drive because he can talk so much. If he works in an office, his boss will scold him.
