Writers: What projects are you working on right now?
As I've mentioned before, I'm slightly slowing down my counseling practice to free up time for my doctoral work. (I did accept a new client yesterday, but it was somebody I've seen before. In fact, it was my first client after I graduated from my counseling masters program. I was flattered that they thought of me and wanted to come back to me for services.)
I've been playing around with about five or six different writing projects and realized that I was getting nowhere on any of them. In the next week, I want to get my Christian counseling blog up and running. I have a lot of the posts written, but for some reason, word Preston install properly on my server so I need to sit down and troubleshoot, possibly with a friend who knows a little bit more about technology than me.
I'm also working on a book about the psychology of personal blogging. I haven't put the project on hold, but it's going slowly because I need to reach out to bloggers in an accessible and sensitive way and try to set up interviews.
My third project as an e-book, and possibly an Amazon printed version of the book that I've been writing since September. It didn't start out to be a book; I just wanted to put together some of my basic counseling principles in a printed or electronic form for my clients to refer to between sessions. Eventually, I realize that the public maybe interested and may benefit from this. I'm pretty passionate about it because it combines current best practices in psychology with solid biblical principles and scripture that actually backs up secular behavioral science.
I'm curious to know what my fellow writers are up to right now. What are your current projects? What are you hoping to accomplish in the next couple months?#fopp writing
