Unimpressed

"Oh. Look," I say to my boyfriend.

He peers toward the direction in which I am pointing.

"I thought she would like that better than the thing on the Civil War, but I guess I was wrong," I muse as I look at the who has her behind pointing in the direction of the television. Generally, Sesame Street is something that appeals to Queen Kitty. However, that did not seem the case today.

Having more pressing matters, I left the cats to the television. If the show was too boring for them, I would change it in a bit when I had the chance.

It took a while, but I finally made my way back to the television. Three little kitties were still quite snuggled in before it. Her Royal Fuzziness had actually changed position so that she was no longer giving the screen the cold "shoulder."

A few seconds later, I realized why she was so unimpressed with the show. It was an episode she had already seen.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I apologize when I realize the issue. So, I changed the channel to something else... to a program we could all enjoy.

Even felines get tired of reruns! Priceless!

She is a bit of a picky kitty at times. The strange thing was that she seemed more interested in the Civil War program, which I didn't really think would have much cat appeal.

Ha, ha, how could you even consider a repeat viewing! Cats know what they're wanting after all!

LilyDay wrote on February 17, 2015, 5:39 PM

I didn't realize that it was a rerun until I sat down with the cats. I recognized a snippet of it, since I sometimes leave the show on to entertain (or calm) the kitties.

There are some shows that they will re-watch. However, I guess that this is not one of them.

lol Yes my dogs really enjoy certain shows more than others but I am not sure they really care whether they are repeats or not. :)

I've never had a cat and a TV at the same time, but I understand some like to watch nature shows featuring their big cousins or fish. I think birds are also popular.

Usually, I don't get such complaints about reruns. However, I guess this just wasn't her favorite episode.

Our youngest is quite fond of shows featuring birds. All three of them like cartoons, and the eldest girl seems to have developed an interest in SESAME STREET.

I knew it... cats are out to dominate the world and make slaves of us humans! Where is a super hero dog when you need one?

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on February 18, 2015, 12:29 AM

This is Guiness the Cat. There was one once, but we took care of it.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on February 18, 2015, 12:30 AM

Dear Fuzzy Trio's mommy,

Wouldn't it be easier to just give them the remote? It's not like you're going to get to pick the show anyway.

Sincerely, Guiness the Cat

The rise of the new superhero dog will be upon us to thwart your evil feline domination plans, Guiness!

LOL, none of mine care one way or the other for TV, they'd rather peer out the windows when they can.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on February 18, 2015, 4:53 PM

Silly human. Cats rule the internet, and therefore the world. Sincerely, Guiness the Cat.

LilyDay wrote on February 18, 2015, 10:08 PM

Guiness, they had the remote. She just didn't feel like deigning to change the channel.

LilyDay wrote on February 18, 2015, 10:09 PM

We found another fun program. Then, later on, they watched plenty of cartoons.

My fuzzies tend toward television. My late pups also enjoyed television, and I used to tease my late girl about her love for one particular cooking show.

This is Guiness the Cat. Well, she is the Queen Kitty. Manual labor is beneath her.
