Random Sums Up my Mind Today
I'm sitting at the computer, trying to adjust back to the reality of my daily life. My mind is all over the place, trying to balance how I would like to spend my day with the things I need to do. I thought this photo of the rocky shore on Wellington's southern coast very much sums up my relaxed, calm contrasting with the expectation of tasks to be completed.
That's the trouble with relaxing breaks from routine. You know you've escaped to an ideal world, but it can't last. I treasured my two days away, and within an hour or so I'll be back on with my normal day. But, for now, my mind is taking me here, there and everywhere. I'll enjoy this state a few minutes later, then I'll be strong.
Random may be good enough for a category here, when you can't think of where else to place your thoughts. But, I need to move now from random to organised.

I am definitely with you on this one. I had four days off from work, and today I am just dragging my feet mentally, in terms of getting back into my routine.

That is the absolute truth. Is the Wellington Coast in England? It reminds me of Ireland's western shores.

I know that feeling too. Last year I worked only four half days, so my weekend ran from lunchtime Thursday. Still, wher would we be if life was all play and no work

Wellington, well my one, is the capital city of New Zealand.

I had an ex boss that wrote down my daily activities and the times at which they should be done. It was an unusual mix of something being done every day, at certain times - and longer term things being achieved. All this with a backdrop of a business where the phone could be ringing 20x per day with bookings, enquiries or questions in general. It worked and I must get round to writing a day plan in the same way

These days I prefer a week plan with flexibility
I've given up on rigid discipline.

Atleast you have 'constructive' thoughts though all mixed up. They will all fall in place for sure.

It is very hard to get bak on track when you have been away from the track, I am retired so am always off track. :)

Oh lovely pic! One of the most painful things for us is recovering from a long weekend! It should be more like that in our lives right?

I know just how you feel. Right now getting organized feels like wading through melted marshmallows!

It is difficult to get into routine after some time off but it is also okay to be random once in a while.
