Back Home After a Productive Two Days Writing

I went to Wellinton to research and write and that's exactly what happened. I surprised myself at how productive I was while down there.

Shortly after I arrived I made my way to the Wellington library, hopeful of finding something I was searching for. I absolutely struck gold and used my Out Of Town borowers card to take out two books that are going to make my life a lot easier over the next couple of weeks.

Not only was the information between the covers what I was looking for, but the style of writing helped me realise why I've been so stuck on the chapter I've been working on. I was delighted to achieve what I hoped for, a way forward from my frustrating puddle of confusion.

It wasn't all about writing while I was away though. I treated myself to some wonderful food, I soaked up the capital city atmosphere and I went for two long walks, one around the waterfront, the other in Botanical Gardens.

But, I went to research and write and that's what occupied most of my time.

That was a great decision you took and I am happy to hear that your trip was fruitful. You have a lot of catching up to do here though emoticon

Rather than catch up I can only move forward from tonight. I don't have time to go back and read all I have missed. I'm going to be rather busy writing my book for the next little while.

I'm glad you accomplished what you went for and then some. Sometimes just changing the routine can release some of those creative juices.

Sounds like an idealized writing location

You can actually catch up when you have the luxury of time. Enjoy those books you got.

Glad to hear that you were able to find what you were looking for. It's always nice when you find what you were hoping to find.

It sounds like it was a good couple of days. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the city a little bit in between the research & writing.

That sounds like a productive trip, Val. I love that you found help in the writing style as well as the content. Good luck as you continue to perfect your work.

It's great when holidays/vacations just work like that. Glad to hear things worked out for you.
