You Are Not Alone

I am strongly led by the inner man to make this post.

I don’t have any particular person in mind in making it but I do hope that someone somewhere would benefit from reading it.

Now I am not a Pastor at least not an ordained one but my professional calling also gives me the necessary impetus to counsel persons who may be hurting or feeling downcast because of happenings in their lives.

My message is simple

You are not alone

When trials and temptations come your way, when you think that all is lost – it might be the death of a loved one, or the loss of a job you loved or the betrayal of a confidant or the stabbing at the back by even your own relative, you sure would be sore and you would ask yourself why me? Remember that the only person who can answer that question is YOU.

And in answering that question, you have to think back and remember that it had never been like this, remember that even as you are passing through that phase, that so many other persons are also passing through it, remember that it takes grit to keep on pushing, remember that it takes strength of character to hang on even when the rope had thinned out and also to remember that life must have to be lived even when the taste of living is gone because the life we live is not ours, it belongs to Some Higher Authority and we do not have the right as it were to do away with it as we please neither shall we ever be given the permission to do away with it until the Owner says it is enough.

Because right within you is an Essence far stronger than you and Who is able to hold you while you pass through that phase because as sure as the Sun is to rise from the East and set in the West so shall that phase also pass – nothing lasts forever.

It is important therefore that you understand this, that no matter how much the storm blows and the thunder roars, the rain would fall and then stop falling. No matter how dark the night may be, still at its due time the dawn shall come and with it the morn. There will always be a silver lining in the darkest of clouds and all you need to do is to look beyond the clouds and identify the silver lining and be happy for that.

So take these words as words of comfort and deal with the issues that come into your life with equanimity bearing in mind that it is never over until it is finally over.

Do have a good day

People are foolish if they think that only human beings can keep them company. It is our thoughts and environment around us is preferable to human company many a time. I must admit I have not gone through your post fully because I already know it.

yea sometimes we tend to get off hand with our thoughts
but like I wrote there, nothing lasts for ever

I have gone through your post and found it to be very interesting writing ,as an atheist it just made me appreciate the drama of your write, and I enjoyed that part of it.
I would never dream of criticising any one elses belief system and hope they wouldn't mine.

I agree that midas' words do not require that there is a god, but that they are sound advice for humankind.

Yes! That is the main thing ,no matter where good advice comes from, if it's good .it's good !

midastouch I have been through enough in my life and have come out of them fine. After time that is. I always felt like others, like this is the end. But I found taking a step back, taking a breath, You get to see the bigger picture. And then things do eventually fall into place. Time is a wound healer.

oh for sure time is a wound healer
it may not necessarily heal the wound on the outside because if there's a scar tissue left from the "accident" or "incident" whenever you touch there, it sends you back to memory lane but it heals it from the inside in such a way that you will still remember but you are no longer hurt from it
Life is a teacher and also a lesson packed into one experience

I agree with you on that. We may feel sad but we are never alone.

midastouch Sadly though, even though life is a teacher, we learn and learn and try to pass along our knowledge. But life always wins in the end. It teaches us but robs us of the very life we live.
