Frustration Abounds

It's such a beautiful day today I've been able to open the door and curtains to let in the light without freezing. I've been busy trying to make a beaded pendant. It has a bezeled rivoli chaton in the center, then I want to put 3 bicones around to shape it into a heart.

The bezel went well, then I made a few attempts to make the rest and didn't like them. Finally came up with a placement I was satisfied with, and that worked just fine. I thought I'd better start on the illustrations and do them one round at a time before I moved on with the rest.

No matter how I draw this illustration, even though i'm using the exact number of beads in the illustration as in real life, the illustration comes out one bead short! I'm sure I'm miscounting somewhere, just can't figure out where. Ah the life of a designer. Maybe I should dust off the art tablet and go back to pencil sketches or make a few zentangles to ease the frustration.

Had a frustrating few days too, so you are not alone. Hope your designing goes better next week. I'm certainly hoping my dayjob goes better given that it's half term and the traffic should ease the journey at least.

Thanks WordChazer . What is it about February? It seems all the frustrating thing that can happen do happen in Feb. I hope your work week is easier too.

If the beads will ever come together on the pendent like they are in my head it will be. I started to take a picture as it is right now, but it's pretty weird looking without the last two rows.

Maybe you need to step away from it for a hour or so. That way you can refocus, it always helps me when I'm doing something intense.

I finally put it down and read a book. I think I've got it now!

Frustrations are inevitable same thing in expectations.
