"outstanding issues"

When I logged in just a few minutes ago, the first page I was taken to was "outstanding issues." It was a relief for me to see exactly WHAT post was wrong, and what was wrong about it. I ended up deleting the post. I'll probably re-do it later. I had done it as a poll, but must have done something wrong because while I did put in answers for the viewers to choose from, none of them showed up after submission.

Having that page really helps as we are able to see what we are doing wrong, and given the chance to make it right. Thanks Persona Paper for this feature, as I don't believe I've ever been on a site similar to this, that did that.

Have you had that page pop up for you before?

So far I'm okay. But I do check the issues tab everyday just to play it safe. I am a rules follower. I'm glad you worked it out.

Only for an image credit I forgot, so not too bad.

& LadyTrouble I have not had that situation, but it is great that we can be notified and given the opportunity to correct issues with our posts. That's what I like about the site in general and the Admins ( maeLou and elitecodex ) in aparticular, the open and clear communication.

I d one a couple of weeks ago, relating to an incorrect crediting of the photo I used. yes, it is good to be told what is wrong and have the opportunity to fix it.

It was my first time doing a poll on this site. I didn't see the options but thought I might not see them but others could. When I came on it took me directly to the issues page.

I always seem to forget to credit images, so hardly ever use them. I usually get so wrapped up in my commentary on the post, that I forget to do the credit.

I haven't seen that page 'Outstanding Issues' and hopefully, I don't see it. LOL!

Seriously speaking, it is great to see immediately the posts that we need to update and redo early on rather than have to deal with these issues when we are processing our cash out. Just my two cents.

I definitely agree with you there. Being able to talk to the administrators and to have such open communication, makes me feel welcome here.

I don't believe I've used an image yet on any of my posts here. I always forgot to credit the image on other sites. Only because I get so wrapped up in what I am going to say that when I get done, all I want to do is hit "submit" :)

LadyTrouble wrote on February 12, 2015, 6:42 PM

It gave me a jolt when I saw it, honestly. However, I agree with you, better to go ahead and see it and deal with it sooner rather then later.

Yes, yesterday. I had a referral link in my post, they said. It was a referral link to join PersonaPaper, so I was surprised that's not allowed. I had it on 3-4 posts (a new thing I'd started including), so I just removed it from them all and now the issues list is empty.

I've never received a notice about an issue, But I have not written many articles thus far.

elitecodex wrote on February 12, 2015, 11:08 PM

Can you send me a list of what you tried to use as options? Apparently this is a bug that a handful of members are running into ,and I believe it to be an encoding issue with the options as they are entered. Can you send me what you entered exactly , including any characters/formatting so I can try to replicate the issue.

LadyTrouble wrote on February 13, 2015, 12:16 AM

I'm sorry. I honestly don't remember exactly what I wrote. I did not have any punctuation in the options, I remember that.

Nope; I am a detailed person so I never get errors on here.

Nope! But I received an email from persona paper admin, and I am glad I had open my email that day. I have reconstructed the whole post's content and post to Maelou wall. It is just a relief that they always response to their member's concerns that how I came to know that there is an "open issue" tab and I need to click the fixed button to notify the staff that I already fixed it. God bless.

Never had any issues but I agree it's a good feature. It's good to know exactly what is wrong so you can fix it. I've had some trouble with the polls here too so have stopped making them for now.

I've never had to deal with issues, but it is SO nice, after coming from a site so secretive and uncommunicative where you were always guessing, worrying, wondering, and speculating about what to do/not to do, never told what you were doing wrong, and never told why you weren't paid, to have admin who actually talk to you, warn you, explain things to you, and help you.

It happened to me once when I did not give proper credit to aphoto I posted.
