Stupid People Take Note

Seems every time I visit the Zin Alley Winery, which is almost next door to me, I notice a new sign. Today was no different. The owner must have a great sense of humor.

I normally park down the hill in front of Cypher Tasting Room when I go to Zin Alley. That way I can walk up the steep driveway and take photos of anything interesting on the way up.

The main purpose of this visit was to get some pictures I wanted for my post on dry farming. As I reached the handicapped parking spaces near the door, I saw the sign above. The top sign is pretty common. The bottom sign isn’t. I’m sure many of the truly disabled who need the designated spaces to park in will appreciate that bottom sign most.

If you take a close look to the very left of the picture, you will see another sign. The small print at the bottom of it says “NO EXCEPTIONS.”

Haha wow. I guess there are a lot of people who aren't really handicapped that still park there. At least it gets the point across.

I wish they'd put up signs like that around here. The people who use those parkings aren't stupid really, just selfish. But maybe they'd be more responsible if someone called the stupid.

Oh ,sorry ! I can't make out what it says on the sign .

I'm going to write about two double-funny signs I've seen, thanks to your reminder, Barb.

So! Did you make for the left? I bet you did.

wolfgirl569 wrote on February 9, 2015, 9:43 AM

I like that one. It is sad tat healthy people take parking spaces that are reserved

That was fun and interesting!

barbrad The owner is very creative and surely very effective with his signs.

Good for them! If only that second sign was always used with the other! emoticon

LOL more places should put this sign up. I hate seeing healthy people park in handicap zones.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:27 PM

They actually have a lot of funny signs around the tasting room. This is just one of them.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:28 PM

Funny, isn't it, how people don't mind being selfish but don't want to be considered stupid?

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:31 PM

You can make the photo larger by opening it in a new tab. It's a handicapped parking only sign on top. The sign under it says "Stupidity is not a handicap. Park elsewhere. "

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:31 PM

I'll be happy to see them.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:33 PM

I was parked at the bottom of the hill at another winery with lots of parking. I walked up past these signs.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:33 PM

Yes, it is sad.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:34 PM

These are just a couple of the funny signs that abound in our neck of the woods.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:36 PM

That he is. Can you see the small sign on the far left? (unless I cropped it out. I can't see it while I'm in this box.) You can enlarge the photo by opening in a new tab.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:36 PM

Good suggestion.

BarbRad wrote on February 9, 2015, 11:38 PM

Of course, all handicaps aren't visible. So it's hard to tell unless there's no placard. You can't tell by looking at who gets out of the car.

AngelSharum wrote on February 10, 2015, 11:59 AM

That's true most of the time, but if you see someone get out and RUN inside or something like that then it does make you wonder.

inertia4 wrote on February 10, 2015, 7:31 PM

BarbRad LOL. Nice one. I like that. Maybe the owner does have a sense of humor. But I am sure it was put there for the non-handicapped people. I see that happen here all the time. Normal healthy people parking in the handicapped spots.

Great photo, and I love the fact that this business owner posted a sign that speaks what so many of us just think emoticon

BarbRad wrote on February 11, 2015, 1:28 AM

I'm sure it is put there for people with no disabilities who are lazy.

BarbRad wrote on February 11, 2015, 1:29 AM

I've discovered this business owner is pretty outspoken when he has opinions. his other signs are funny, too.

BeckyWiegers wrote on February 11, 2015, 6:58 AM

LOL! I do love a business owner with a sense of humor! This is awesome.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on February 11, 2015, 12:05 PM

That is too cute. I wonder if it actually works.

BarbRad wrote on February 11, 2015, 6:38 PM

And it gives me something to write about, too.

BarbRad wrote on February 11, 2015, 6:38 PM

I've never seen anyone parked there, but I've only been there about twice.

inertia4 wrote on February 12, 2015, 8:36 PM

BarbRad Exactly. I don't know why normal people still continue to park in a handicapped zone. It annoys me.
