A weekend of baking

My daughter and I have spent the weekend baking different things, we have made a batch of chocolate chip cookies, a chocolate brownie, a fridge cake and a batch of banana oat bakes!

I have been trying to use up a load of bits and pieces from the cupboard as I am going to try and get the council to come round and try and figure out if they can fit me a new kitchen. I have cupboard doors falling off and cupboard shelves falling down and the wood is so old and rotting that I cannot fix them any more however hard I try!

Anyway back to the baking the banana oat bakes were made with:

1 cup of oats

2 mashed up bananas

1 tablespoon of clear honey

1/2 cup of raisins

All mixed up together and then portioned out onto a greased baking tray (I spray with fry lite to grease) baked for 10 minutes in a preheated oven

And there it is emoticon  give it a go they make great quick breakfast bite

Don't want to make you jealous or anything but our house has just been upgraded by our local authority with a new kitchen, new windows and a new central heating system with combi boiler - lovely!

LOL Kasman we have just had a central heating system put in thanks to the council (we had no heating before hand and only ever a bath full of hot water a day) so having instant hot water and all round the flat heat is beautiful emoticon  now that has been done I am looking to get a kitchen installed espcially as having the boiler put in I had to lose a cupboard and the kitchen is just old and horrible. They (the council) did a stock take on all their properties last year and the guy that came round said our kitchen had not seen an up grade in 13 years so I think I am due for one emoticon  once they have done that I am going to look into buying it as our 5 years of renting will be complete and we should be able to buy it under the right to buy scheme. So that is the grand plan emoticon
