The Thing about Housework...

The thing about housework is that it never ends. Just lately I have been doing some extra jobs in the hope that when everything around me is kept tidy I will spend less time cleaning up and clearing up. So far it hasn’t worked, I’ve just been busier.

The thing about housework is that it is a vicious circle, I wash the floors and walk on them, in company with my husband and three cats. I wash the clothes and wear them after which they need washing again. I cook the dinner and we eat it. Five hours later everyone is feeling hungry again. Nothing ever stays clean for long. Even the windows cease to sparkle after even a gentle sprinkling of rain.

The thing about housework is that a housewife can never retire unless she can pay someone else to do the job for her.

It's like making the bed. It's just going to get messed up again anyway! lol

The favourite magnet on my fridge says Boring Women Have Immaculate houses. That is my excuse anyway, who wants to be labelled boring!

When I read the title what came to my mind was the phrase "it never ends!" Then when I continued I was surprised that we had the same lines of thoughts.

There is a saying "a man's work is from sun to sun, but a woman's work is never done." I wish I could have someone else do the cleaning and cooking.

What can't be cured has to be endured as the saying goes. I always had help around and did no work but today although help is around I need to get into the kitchen for certain activities. But I have taken it in my stride and it no longer makes me fee it is a drudgery. .
