I have begun a work out routine
It has become increasingly difficult for me to perform my job since I turned 40 several years ago. Sometimes i have a hard time walking up the stairs to my room at the end of a long shift.
Now that I have some time off I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and do something about this. So I joined a health club and I have been walking on the treadmill and playing racquetball when my girlfriend is at work.
Yes, I guess this is just one of those things about getting old. I am too old to just sit around during my time off. I used to be able to do nothing, and come back to work a month later and be in the same shape I left in.
I will know if I have reaped any benefits from this when I go back to work.
It would also be nice if I lose some weight during these workouts. Right now I am just trying to get through each one of them. My body is resisting me every second of every workout!
