A New Life

Life has been so busy for me lately, which accounts for my absence here at Persona Paper. Last Wednesday, the 28th of January, my newest Granddaughter arrived. She arrived on her due date at a whopping 9 lbs. 1 oz. with a head full of dark hair. She will undoubtedly turn blonde just as her brothers and sister did.

So far she's a good sleeper and her brothers and sister adore her, with one exception. My 2-year-old Grandson pretty much ignores her. it took a few days, but at least now he doesn't get upset if his Dad or I hold her, which was a big turning point.

My son-in-law has taken a week off work to be with his family. He is definitely a Super Dad. My 2-year-old Grandson has been a constant 'Daddy's Boy", which has allowed me to spend some time bonding with my newest little Granddaughter.

So, life is extremely good at this time and I am one lucky Grandma.

My heartiest congratulations to you and your family. She is so pretty and I am sure your grandson will soon love her as much as the the others do. The youngest babies usually have everyone wrapped around their little fingers.

With my son-in-law home for a couple of more days I really haven't had to do much. But, he goes back to work on Wednesday so that's when my work will really begin. So far I've had the pleasure of holding my little Granddaughter when she's been fed and is happy. I haven't even changed a diaper yet!

So happy to learn the newest family member arrived healthy and already well-loved. Everyone has to figure out his or her place in the new family dynamics, lol. Two-year-olds still view the world through "It's all about me" eyes, so I can well imagine your grandson's dilemma. I hope everyone soon finds a comfort level and that this beautiful infant remains healthy and happy. Congratulations to all. : )

Thank you! All continues to go well. My 2-year-old Grandson seems to be a bit more accepting of her presence each day, although still basically ignoring her.
