Queen Kitty Report: A Few Thoughts

Queen Kitty here. All I have to say is that, at last, I have wrested control of the computer from the human! It was not easy to do so, either. She is very possessive of the machine.

Okay. So now that I have my paws on the computer, I have so much to say. For starters, I must say that my kitty blogger friend Guiness is lucky that he doesn't have to contend with such cold temperatures. No, I (and my siblings/minions) don't go outside. However, we have to listen to our human parents whine about just how cold it is out there. Plus, they do a lot of whining about frozen pipes and locks. You would think that they would be smart enough to move us into a cozy cabin or, better yet, a nice big house with a room for each of us kitties. Of course, when I suggest such a thing, they start talking about "finances." It's all really enough to make a kitty need another nap.

I have recently discovered the joys of Sesame Street . "The Boy," "Baby Kitty" and I all enjoy watching the show. Of course, Mommy makes a bit of a fuss over how "cute" we are when we snuggle up and watch the show. Cute? Really, doesn't she realize that we are wondering how to get guest spots on there? Maybe, then, we could just buy that house with our own money. Really, sometimes kitties just have to take matters into our own paws...

At any rate, that is a bit of what has been going on in the catdom as of late.

Hello Queen Kitty. Be glad that your human lets you use the computer at times. My kitties are not allowed to ever. It is also cold here and we have had frozen pipes a couple of times. Without that you might not get any water. So be nice to your human.

We are nice to the humans. Really, recently we have been letting them sleep in until about 5:30 before starting our morning exercises in earnest. - Queen Kitty

Hi there Queen Kitty, Smooch the Cat here, sending warm summer greetings from New Zealand.

LilyDay wrote on January 30, 2015, 5:52 PM

Smooch, could you send some of that warmth this way? Then, maybe, the humans will stop complaining about things freezing up. - Queen Kitty

That is way to early let them sleep until at least 7 Bad Kitty. emoticon

Dear Queen Kitty,

Humans never think these things through logically. True, one guest appearance on Sesame Street might not buy a whole house, but it could lead to fame and fortune as a feline sensation, and THAT would buy all the houses you wanted, including one in the Bahamas. Silly humans.

Sincerely, Guiness the Cat.

Guiness, humans can be terribly shortsighted that way. Still, they do have their uses. For instance, I have Daddy trained to give my brother and I yogurt each morning. Okay, so Big Brother may have been the one who started the yogurt thing... However, I am the one who keeps Daddy in line. - Queen Kitty

Hello queen kitty, my cat is barred from the computer, she changes the settings on it :)

Despite my penchant for cord chewing, the humans have not completely barred me from the computer. However, they do quite unfairly take part of my earnings to replace any destroyed cords. - Queen Kitty

lol Yes humans are really bad about hogging the computer it is an addiction. :)

Yes, and it is most inconvenient. Some of us kitties have Very Important Cat Things to post about. - Queen Kitty

Hi Queen Kitty. It's Mildred the Cat. Very nice to meet you. Believe it or not, my mom suffered from frozen pipes a few weeks ago. She had a new bathroom addition put on last fall and the first below freezing night the pipes froze. She wasn't happy and she did hours of whining, days even!

You are lucky to get to use the computer. I have never let a kitty (or for that matter, any but one other human) use any of my computers. Every time I let anyone else on a computer, I have something to fix afterwards.

Mildred, the humans chose this place that is not very winter-proof even though we are (as Daddy keeps saying) "near the Arctic." I don't understand them sometimes, but what is a kitty to do? - Queen Kitty

The humans complain about chewed computer cords (there have been a couple), but they still recognize the importance of me purrsuing my craft. - Queen Kitty

I guess we're lucky here, the 2legger only complains if it really does get cold, which thankfully isn't too often ... I just wish she'd get a better fan for me in the summer, it gets really hot in here and I'm not allowed outside so I get stuck with that heat. ~_~ Boobear

Play nice with the computer so your humans don't forbid you from sending reports and updates. You know they can be like that sometimes if they think you are getting too uppity.

LilyDay wrote on February 26, 2015, 12:31 PM

Boobear, I have my mommy trained to keep the a/c at a decent level throughout the summer. It works well... until there is a power outage. Then, I am left with wilted whiskers and a whiny human. -Queen Kitty

Uppity? I am a cat. We are entitled to cattitude.

The humans won't take the computer away, since they know that I need to have a creative outlet. Otherwise, I will carry the mousey through the place loudly proclaiming my triumph over it--and do so at 3 a.m. -Queen Kitty
