The Sea Caves in Cyprus

I used to live in Cyprus for 4 years. I, regularly, visit there when I can, because I have family living there. I took the above photo of the Sea Caves where I visited last September 2014. There is a restaurant and bar right next to the Sea Caves where we sat watching the sun go down whilst having some wine. It was breathtaking views, so if anyone ever decides to visit Paphos in Cyprus, then make sure you visit this spot. The Sea Caves is situated a few kilometres away from Coral Bay in Paphos. You will need a car to visit this unique place as it is well out of the way. I drove there from Coral Bay Beach and took the back road route, because I know the area so well. Most tourists take the main road route, which is best if you don't know the area. The Sea Caves area is becoming a beautiful place to live now that there are a few villas built there. Holiday makers visit the area all the time and some hire villas there in the summer. It has, also, been known for many Greek Cypriots to own villas here where they come to visit for their holidays.

It sounds like a lovely place to visit. Would be a nice change from what I am looking at out my window...about three feet of snow!

I don't think that I will be visiting Cyprus anytime soon. However, if I ever do make it to there, I will have to keep this place in mind.

There is so much I have yet not seen of the world. I wonder why this place is called Sea Caves?

valmnz wrote on January 30, 2015, 12:29 AM

Just wonderong, can youget to the caves in a small boat. They would be an interesting place to go in closer to.

I think it'
it's called that because there are Caves in the sea that can be seen by going underwater or scuba diving.

Deelark wrote on January 30, 2015, 8:34 AM

Yes I think you can.

Caves inside the sea could be a source for exploration by scuba divers.
