Bubblews Deleting Accounts - Beware!

Now that I received my final pending payment from Bubblews I've got nothing to lose. Well, other than the $18 currently in my bank which I'll never see because reaching the $50 threshold isn't going to happen in my lifetime.

I just learned that a two-year Bubblews member that I've known for years, a member who did NOT violate any rules or TOS, faithfully posted at least one a day, and never criticized the site, had his account terminated when he was within cents of redeeming. He had received all his prior payments and was not owed anything, one of the lucky ones who had received all redemptions. Account terminated, no reason was given, gone, along with all his work. Within CENTS of being able to redeem again!

Is Bubblews actively deleting accounts right before they can redeem? I don't know. But at this point I wouldn't put it past them. If you are active there, and able to redeem, don't wait! Hit that button if you are able before they delete your account.

I'm so done with that site. I think Arvind is off his rocker, especially after reading his rambling, nonsensical posts of late.

Sorry, but I had to vent, and people should be aware of what they're doing.

It's good that you have received your payment over that B site. I have $150 pending in there since August 2014.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:15 AM

I had a missing $53 payment from August that I will never see because they just wiped all those older redemptions off the books. I also had one pending payment slashed by about $30. So I am out around $80. Actually that's not nearly as bad as many other people I know.

scheng1 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:18 AM

I have only $5 in my Bubblews bank now. If they delete my account, I can republish all the posts in other sites.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:24 AM

Yes, that's a great point, glad you mentioned it. If they delete your account, those posts can be republished. :)

Hollyhocks100 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:25 AM

I still drop in daily to see my lost connections, but as for posting, it´s never going to happen while Arvind is refusing to answer our questions, and I agree his posts have become very odd at times too.

scheng1 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:26 AM

I have more than 3000 posts there, and I will not delete those posts. Bubblews has paid for them over the past 2 years.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:30 AM

Yes, it bothers me that he simply will NOT address questions, just rambles on and says nothing. He won't say anything about lowering the redemption amount, which I think is imperative if they want to stay afloat.

UK_Writer wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:30 AM

Ah, his posts are really airy fairy whitterings of a loon aren't they! It does seem bizarre that a regular writer, without any breaches, had their account deleted, but it doesn't surprise me. In the early days when people weren't paid others said "you must have broken the rules". I knew this wasn't the case when I had one post that "went viral" and I never got the $300 owed to me. But it became some sort of cult bleating of "you must have done something wrong". Those who were treated badly like that didn't have a voice as other "sheep" would bleat out the mantra.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:33 AM

Wow, you never received the $300 from a really great post. That sucks. I know another person that happened to as well. I really think they just throw a dart and randomly pick people to delete when they run out of money.

Hollyhocks100 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:35 AM

You hit the nail on the head there. Yes, I do agree that that mantra was used in the most ridiculous way, we all knew who the cheats were and they were allowed to get away with it from the start, maybe if Arvind had taken notice of what he was being told then the site wouldn´t be where it is now. Talk about shutting the stable door when the horse has bolted !!

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:41 AM

Haha! Exactly :)

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:42 AM

Oh my gosh, you have a lot of posts! That's a lot to remove. Good luck.

MaeLou wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:42 AM

Wow... that sucks! I haven't been deleted (but haven't checked today) but I'm at almost $30 over there and haven't really moved in months. I'm slowly getting off my articles. I'm not worried about the $30 I will lose at this point, as I don't believe I would get paid anyways.

UK_Writer wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:42 AM

Yes, he never listened. Those who made valid/good suggestions were "silenced". The rules were changed to silence some. And the cheaters were enabled to proliferate.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 8:44 AM

I was posting one a day until I received my $71 from December, which I just received and it's now cleared. The $18 I have in my bank now I know I will never see.

arthurchappell wrote on January 27, 2015, 9:05 AM

I got my December payment through - my page has barely moved a dollar since then but not writing new articles there now

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 9:25 AM

I was very happy to receive my Dec. 14th payment. And same here, my bank has barely moved since then.

msiduri wrote on January 27, 2015, 9:28 AM

As of this morning, I have $49.44. I have been deleting and saving old posts for weeks now. My profile shows about 39 posts, I think. I fully expect them to delete me as before I get to $50. But I can recycle my old posts. I've been checking them for plagiarism (cuz with that site, you never know.) before I post and happily nothing has turned up yet except the almost daily plagiarists of other people's stuff.

I think I know the person you're talking about. A similar thing happened to another ex-Epinionator last year. No warning, no explanation, no rule breaking, but a chorus of "you must have done something wrong" followed him. He simply opened another account. I don't even know if Arvind had been posting lately. His posts have been getting more and more abstract. They're probably there so people can't say he's not "communicating." It's just the message we're receiving is not the one he wants to send. What I read is that he's so divorced from reality he wouldn't know a brick wall from escalator.

BigDreamer wrote on January 27, 2015, 9:39 AM

I am one of the accounts that got deleted!
I was deleted after asking about payment.

But recently, after complaining all over about my account being deleted, they reactivated it.
However, all of my followers were deleted and all of my posts have disappeared. So it didn't do much good.

Hollyhocks100 wrote on January 27, 2015, 10:01 AM

I just had a Skype call with my daughter and she hasn´t received her payment or a PayPal email to say it´s been sent, but it says on her bank that´s it´s been processed for the last 3 weeks. She has contacted bubblews numerous times and is fully expecting to be kicked off just for making inquiries.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 10:52 AM

Oh my gosh! So they reactivated your account and you lost all your followers and posts. Did your bank go back to zero? I'm surprised they even reinstated it. But if everything was zeroed out, what difference does it make. Wow.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 10:54 AM

Yes, I think Arvind does those posts just so he can say he's "communicating," but he is actually saying nothing of substance. Omg, and you have $49.44 right now... hope you make it to $50!

BigDreamer wrote on January 27, 2015, 11:00 AM

Yes, It doesn't make any sense at all.

nbaquero wrote on January 27, 2015, 11:20 AM

amyk49 That is exactly what bothers me the most (not to say p... me off) about that site, people that follow the rules are being punished by a bunch of arrogant staffers and leaders, without any valid reason. If that is not a scam I don't know what it is. I lost some money there but I feel for my long time fellow writers over there that after years of being faithful to that site are treated like this.

peachpurple wrote on January 27, 2015, 12:18 PM

i must redeem now since you mentioned

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 12:22 PM

Yes, I agree with everything you say. I just cringe when I see comments from ever-loyal members who praise Arvind like he's King of the World or something. *gag*

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 12:23 PM

Yes, if you have the required redemption amount, I would suggest you redeem right away.

SandraLPetersen wrote on January 27, 2015, 12:26 PM

I'm stuck at almost the halfway point ($23.59) on that site. If I don't write anything, that won't change but if I do write and post, who will read the posts? I tend to stay with a ship until it goes down to the bottom of the ocean. Maybe I shouldn't in this case.

beachchair wrote on January 27, 2015, 1:44 PM

I am a former bubblews. I got the ax. Not sure for what. Oh well. Moving on to bigger and better things. I like the sense of community here so much better.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 4:02 PM

I feel very much as you do, except that I'm only at $18. Sometimes I do want to post, but I think -- like you -- who's going to read it, and it will maybe make one cent if I'm lucky. I'll probably keep my account open for now, just to see what happens.

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 4:03 PM

So they deleted your account and didn't tell you why? That seems to be how they handle it. Here one day, gone the next, and you don't even know why. Sheesh.

melon1234 wrote on January 27, 2015, 5:15 PM

I'm glad I saw this because I redeemed earlier this month and I would be very angry if they closed my account and the money with it

amyk49 wrote on January 27, 2015, 5:24 PM

Very glad that you were able to redeem!

wolfgirl569 wrote on January 27, 2015, 6:30 PM

Thanks for the warning. I need to check my account soon anyways.

msiduri wrote on January 27, 2015, 7:33 PM

I do, too. $50 could really come in handy. Thanks for your, um, assistance.:-0

Glenn wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:15 AM

Now I can call it a scam because I also was one who followed all the rules and always got paid, except for my last redemption that Arvind decided to cancel because he ran out of money, as he officially claims in his post.

amyk49 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:20 AM

Sorry you didn't get that last payment. Amazing how they can just decide all of a sudden not to pay. Really ticks me off.

amyk49 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:22 AM

Yes, keep an eye on it and just be aware. There's a lot of funny business going on there right now. Don't trust them for a minute.

Glenn wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:32 AM

amyk49 - His excuse is that he ran out of money due to the fraud. He stated that in one of his posts. But If that is true, I wonder how he is still paying people who decided to keep posting. I stopped posting when Arvind started to hide the stats on views. That was a red flag to me and it was an indicator of problems to come, as we had discovered now.

amyk49 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:45 AM

Yeah, when they started to hide our views that was a big red flag for me as well. The whole thing stinks.

zabelle51 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:48 AM

I had my first account on Bubblews deleted without warning after just a couple of days but I have never had a problem since. Is this person a personal friend of yours? Online friend? There are a lot of ways to break the rules including using unauthorized photos and republishing articles without de-indexing and deleting an article off Bubblews and re-submitting the same articles minutes after because it wasn't earning enough. So, before I think someone is completely innocent and Bubblews is totally wrong, I would need all the facts. So many people have claimed never to have broken a rule but that is not exactly true. I think if you look at the strength of Bubblews compared to most other writing sites it looks pretty darn good. Check out http://www.hypestat.com/ it is pretty eye opening. Having said that, I am now spreading my eggs around to different baskets just to cover my butt!! The world of online writing has changed a lot over the last few years.

wolfgirl569 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:49 AM

I dont, I figure I am at risk anyways since I filed a complaint with the BBB because they poofed almost 300 from me.

zabelle51 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:52 AM

By the way I am in way defending the lack of response on Bubblews which is terrible and the way Arvind rambles but never answers direct questions. However, they have paid me a lot of money in the last year and I am grateful for that.

amyk49 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:55 AM

I know this person very well from over 12 years of online activity. He did finally get an answer about why his account was deleted: In one comment he left, he used two exclamation points. The second exclamation point, they claimed, was necessary to reach the 40-character minimum, and was considered "using extra characters to reach the minimum." This after two years and hundreds of posts and comments. They find this one so-called infraction, when he was within cents of redeeming. That is just a bogus reason, and ridiculous, and no way to treat members. One exclamation point - your account is deleted right before you can redeem. That's just wrong.

amyk49 wrote on January 28, 2015, 9:56 AM

I made some money from them this last year, when things were good. But those days are over lol. And I am grateful for the money they did pay me.

macourt wrote on January 28, 2015, 1:56 PM

I left that site months ago when they owed me a redemption from August and never paid me., I feel bad for those that are hanging on hoping that they will get paid or those that are getting paid but not their full amount. I think it is time for them to move on. It was a fun site when it first started.

amyk49 wrote on January 28, 2015, 2:02 PM

It was a fun site, and I really enjoyed writing there, and I did make a good bit of money. They never paid me a missing redemption from August. I also feel bad for all the people that had hundreds of dollars wiped off the books.

CountryWine wrote on January 29, 2015, 3:49 PM

They can delete mine for all I care. LOL I stopped writing there a year ago. Tried to start up recently until a friend of mine said they ripped her off in the amount of $60. That was enough for me to stop posting. I will never go back there.

valmnz wrote on January 30, 2015, 2:16 PM

My posts there have become fewer and fewer. Likewise, I doubt I'll ever be able to make another redemption. I'm loving it here.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 2, 2015, 3:44 PM

emoticon  This is terrible news. I understand the need to vent. I'm feeling really - uh, let's just say I'm not pleased about this at all. Did the member try emailing (yeah, they might not even reply but it's worth a try anyway) them to ask for a reason? Those latest posts don't seem to be saying much at all though they're rather long and it doesn't look like they're even replying to the comments; lots of people are asking questions but no answers are forthcoming.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 2, 2015, 3:46 PM

Also lost an August redemption because of what they did. Have you tried to file a report or complaint to the BBB?

FreyaYuki wrote on February 2, 2015, 3:54 PM

Lost an August redemption too. And have heard of many who lost hundreds of dollars.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 2, 2015, 3:56 PM

Wow, that's a lot of posts. Good luck with removing them all. Am also still in the process of removing my posts from there. Have about a hundred plus to go.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:00 PM

You're so close to $50. Hope they don't delete you before you can get your payment. Have been moving my posts from there to elsewhere too. Have about $44+ in the bank there and it simply refuses to move. Wish they can at least lower the payment threshold but they're not even responding to the many comments and requests about this. It's like they don't even care or something. And, yeah, he's been posting a lot more lately but it's like his posts say nothing at all. They should respond to the comments and concerns of the members.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:07 PM

What a ridiculous reason. Didn't they consider that the person could have made a mistake? People sometimes make mistakes in the comments even if they proofread and edit before posting the comment. What's with one extra exclamation point? If they didn't want people "using extra characters", they should disable it then like not letting people submit comments with more than one exclamation point or question mark or whatever.

amyk49 wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:07 PM

Yes, this member emailed and finally got an answer: In one comment they had left, they included two exclamation points (instead of just one), and that extra exclamation point, Bubblews claims, was an extra character necessary to meet the 40-character(or whatever the number is ) minimum. One exclamation point, out of hundreds of hundreds of comments, and their account is deleted. It's ridiculous.

amyk49 wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:09 PM

I have not filed a complaint, but I know a few people who have. One who did, also had their account deleted right after making the complaint.

amyk49 wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:10 PM

You're at lot closer to a redemption than I am. Arvind said in one of his latest posts the are not going to lower the threshold.

amyk49 wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:12 PM

I completely agree with you. It's just a lame excuse to delete the account. It is not justified.

msiduri wrote on February 2, 2015, 4:20 PM

I gotta 'fess up. Part of the reason he was booted was a comment I left on one of his posts. I left a "special character" to make it to 40 character in the comment section. He gets booted for not deleting naughty comment, yet my account it still active. There's no other word for that but, well, the Latin would be stercus tauri. I'm pretty sure I'll be deleted before I get to $50 like he was. I do have a master plan. The same person told me to please refrain from commenting again on his non-existent Bubblews posts.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 4, 2015, 3:47 PM

Filed a complaint too but my account is still there. Actually mentioned this in my complaint since I'd heard of people whose accounts got deleted for no reason, which is a cause for concern. Still have some posts there that am in the process of moving elsewhere.

FreyaYuki wrote on February 4, 2015, 3:56 PM

That's terrible emoticon  . What happened after that? Did they file a complaint again? They could try complaining again. And maybe they can look into other organizations or authorities that can help. It isn't fair for their account to be deleted without a good and valid reason.

morilla wrote on February 7, 2015, 11:12 PM

I'm not sure he's "off his rocker" so much as having a 'different' viewpoint and philosophy than most/many of us have. I won't get into my 'theory' of it here; but, suffice to say that, given many of the behaviors observed, it's one that is 'correct' for him, but 'foreign' to many who didn't come up that way. It doesn't make him 'wrong' and us 'right;' especially since he would never see it that way. It makes it 'different' and you either have to adapt to it or move on. At this point, the unfortunate part is that many are 'moving on' and justifiably so. As I've said over there: We all do it to be Read. Most of us, whether we'll admit it or not, do it with an eye on the earnings. When you take away BOTH of those incentives, I'm not sure how you expect your writers to be motivated and simply saying they are selfish, envious, greedy, not self-motivated, etc. isn't a good way to create the desire.

amyk49 wrote on February 8, 2015, 12:29 PM

Very well stated. We want to be read, and hopefully earn something at the same time. When both of those incentives are gone, people tend to move on.

purpletears wrote on March 12, 2015, 12:23 PM

I just login on that site to see how are things going. After reading some opinions I think nobody would be interested to keep writing for them.
