Finger painting - my toddler's favorite time pass
Being the mother of a toddler is exciting as well as hectic . They are curious about their surroundings and are in search of new and exciting things to do every time. They will easily get bored too. This happened with my toddler. I found she is spending more and more of her time in front of TV or iPad when I am busy. It made me feel guilty that I am spoiling her interests and curiosity. So I decided to do something new every now and then . We started with finger painting. First I got a set of finger paint from dollar tree, showed her how to do painting with hands. She was very excited in mixing and spreading colors with hands. Together we did this fish from finger paint which she is really proud of. It is almost a week now and she is still excited in coloring new sheets . So now I will wait and find something new for her when she is bored of this activity. |

Being the grandparents of a toddler is just as hectic! Our youngest is just 10 months and fingerpaints everything - even those things he's not supposed to!

There is always something new for kids to absorb themselves with activity. I like this concept. She has done a good job.

This is a wonderful activity. I am glad she does not put the paint in her mouth. Children are usually fascinated by color red.

Yeah she used to put things in mouth when she was a one year old. But lost that habit in between. No she is happy to play with everything including colors without putting in mouth

This is a good idea. But ensure that she does not put her hands in the mouth.Keep some dress to use when she is 'painting'
