Fish Market, Victoria Market, Melbourne, Australia
I love my fish and seafood. I live in New Zealand, where seafood is always fresh and plentiful, though unfortunately not always cheap. It's still worth the price though. Australia is even more renowned for it's seafood, so whenever I'm on holiday there I make the most of the opportunity to eat as much seafood as possible, especially lobster and prawns.
When our cruise ship was in Melbourne in December, my sister and I went to the Victoria Markets. I've been there before, but not for many years. We entered through the fish and seafood entrance and became instantly delayed. We weren't able to buy anything as we couldn't take it back onto the ship, but we spent ages admiring the wide range of seafood from so many different countries, some we'd never seen before.
The photo above is of only one of the many stalls selling seafood. We were really in our element, just ooh-ing and aah-ing at all we saw.
Do you like fresh fish and seafood? What is your favourite?
