How Do I Price Them?
I debated whether or not to post this into Business or Pictures - business obviously won out
I recently got prints and frames for some of my best photos (one of them is attached here on this post), obviously the prints do not have the large watermark! Haha.
I think the frames are very nice and clean looking, and I think they compliment all the photographs very well.
Now that I have everything put together, I would love to try and sell them. But the problem I'm having is I have NO idea how to price them. I definitely want to get as much as I can for them (I need money, who doesn't? Lol) but if I charge to much for them they won't sell!
So can anyone help me and tell me what I should charge for them, even a range? What would you buy a really nice framed photograph for?
Thank you!

Maybe you can reference what photos go for online, and see if that is reasonable for you? I really don't know, unfortunately. They look nice though.

I'm hoping some of the other members here with photography experience may be able to lend some suggestions. I wish you the best of success.

Oh jeeze, that is the eternal question. As SoundNFury suggests, check around on line and locally to see what similar pictures are going for.

I have no idea but I wish you all the best and hope you get a great return.

I think people usually start out at around $40-$50 for an 8x10-ish size.

Thanks! Mine are 4 x 6, so would those normally be $20 - $30? I think they're good pictures so hopefully there is some interest! :)

Thank you! :) I'll definitely do some research and see if I can find any information.

I'm no expert on selling photography, but I would think $20 would probably be ok for a start. How much do you spend on printing and framing?

You should go on line and see how others sell their items similar to yours. You will get some idea then.

I did some random search for you and just picked this one. You can get many options by surfing

I actually got the prints for free as a first time customer special :) I also got the frames very cheap, so $20 would be a nice profit. But shipping would cost me $5.70 per frame (unless someone bought two, I think i could fit two together in one padded envelope. So should I say $20 + $5.70 for shipping?

Thank you very much for the link. i'll try to do some searching and see what other prices pop up.

I'd try that and then lower to $15 plus shipping if they don't sell. Then when you get some sales and reviews you can go up on price again.

I have been doing something similar with some of my picture poems. I just haven't made the jump to opening up shop yet, but soon! Good luck with your sales. You can do this! I think price is best determined by what it costs you to produce the framed print and the going rate.

Don't know how much you should sell them but there are many sites online where you can sell pics. You can check them out to see how much they're selling the images and you can price yours accordingly. You might even consider posting them on those sites so your pics can be seen by more people. Good luck with selling them.
