My very first birthday cake in my small baking business.

My first birthday cake when I started my small bakinh business was for a two year old girl in the neighborhood. It was told to my mom if the mom of the birthday girl could order chiffon cake with some yema mixture and cheese on top and just add some greetings on it. Somehow it seems that it was not quite appropriate for a birthday that's why I decided to made buttercream frosting for it and think of some designs for it. It was an 8 inches chiffon cake which I covered with buttercream frosting at first then designed the side of it with small pink stars using a piping tip. Pink color for a birthday girl would really be so perfect and she will definitely like, then added some mini marshmallows on the top but just on the edge of the cake since have to write some greetings on it. Added some chocolate chips as well since I still have some stocks that kiddos will surely love to eat. Using a small piping bag, I added some chocolate syrup that I will use in writing the greetings on top of the cake. I practice several times before finally was able to written the greetings but still have some practice to write better letters. I guess my first birthday cake turned out good and liked by the celebrant which made me proud of myself and gives me more motivation to do more and better cakes in the future.

Although it's been many years since I've held a pastry bag in my hands I love cake decorating. My ex-wife and I used to operate our own business, baking, decorating and delivering cakes of all sizes, shapes and decor. It brought in a nice little extra bit of cash, and peoples' reactions were often priceless. I used to have dozens and dozes of pictures, but sadly they're long gone.
