At least it's not all the way to Mordor

The trip's planned. Sunday at 1 pm I have an appointment at the diamond store. Mom and I are making the trip together. I kinda wanted Will to be there too but trying to coordinate his days off with my mom's just isn't gonna work. I thought about going on Friday with just him and me but I don't feel comfortable taking my car that far. And I don't think either of us has actually driven in that town so we have no idea where we're going. It'll be good to have my mom there; she has extra decades of knowledge and knows what sorts of questions to ask.
When I gave the fellow my name to set up my appointment, he paused then repeated it back to me. Turns out this guy used to hangout at the no-longer-existing Hilltop Lanes with some of my dad's side of the family. He didn't remember my dad specifically but does remember an uncle or something. My name precedes me, I guess. If it's not one side of the family, it's the other.

I'm glad you'll be seeing the ring in person soon. Hope the trip goes well.

Thank you so much! I'm sure the trip itself will be fine, I'm a little nervous about seeing it so I just have to put it out of my mind for now.

Congratulations on your planned wedding and engagement (?). I hope the two of you find a lifetime of happiness together. We just celebrated our twenty-sixth anniversary earlier this month. Whew! Time flies when you're having fun.

That ring in the picture looks more like it came from Rivendell. Beautiful!
