Diary – Tuesday 13th January 2014
A big day for challenges online with the Persona Pages listing several worthy challenges to try out including a challenge to write for each of the categories offered for our articles.
Another, which I completed, was to read and comment on something in each category within a single day – I did this one.
A third challenge I found involves writing about five different objects cluttering your computer table. This one proved to pretty well non-challenging for me.
For more details on the challenges, talk to Feisty56
Challenges aside, there is little to report. I looked around online for work – found none suitable. I also looked for current publishers accepting Steampunk short fiction as I have a story to peddle round, but I found nothing – quite a few publishers have just closed their Winter deadlines, and a few might have taken it but not actually paid for it, so for now, the work is marooned. I still have my main novel to promote but that can wait until tomorrow. I have someone in mind for that one.

That's great it's always good to set yourself targets and challenges and try as much as possible to achieve them.

It's good to set those goals and stick to them. Best of luck with finding work online!

Well if you're at a loss for something to write for, I organise free entry writing competitions which might give you a writing boost
1What sort of work are you seeking online? Today is the jobs day in the Nottingham area and I like to read the jobs pages. Well, one can dream I suppose, lol

to be honest I never really monitor the progress of my bank that closely as I estimate it could be February before I hit my first payment - it is likely to accelerate though

In this case, you might as well challenge yourself to write 15 articles a day for a week.

I wish you good luck on getting a publisher for your novel. Is it Steampunk as well?
