Photoedited Picture of our Wisconsin Home
I am having a lot of fun these days using some photo editing tools on Picasa. This is a photo-edited picture of our home in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin back when my hubby and I lived there in the mid-1970's. It was a tri-level home with the lower level partly underground as you can probably tell from the photo.
As you can probably tell, it was in the summertime of year. Those are hydrangea shrubs planted in the front of the house which were transplanted from my grandmother's home in Okauchee, Wisconsin.
We got other plants and garden tools from her when we moved up to Wisconsin from Houston because of a job transfer for my hubby. That was the same year my grandmother sold her big home on Okauchee Lake and moved to a condo in Oconomowoc. So it worked out well for us. I still have some of those old garden tools today!
Four years later my hubby got transferred back to Houston. Many good memories were created in that span of 4 years!

That was quite a contrast in climate, location and more. Did you have additional family members besides your grandmother is Wisconsin?

Very interesting effects, I lack the required creativity needed to use photo editing software, but your photo turned out quite nice.

Plants possess a lot of sentimentality for me, too. I have the daffodils that I took some transplants of from my parents' home, who had gotten them from an old abandoned farmhouse. I've also got magic lilies that my mom gave me, too.

It looks like you did a good job with the editing. It has been a while since I have done anything with my photos-- or even taken any photos for that matter.
