Neat and cheap smartphone stand

If you have any old cassette cases I have a really neat use for them.

Instead of buying an expensive stand for your smart phone so you can watch video clips etc while seated at a table you can use the cassette case.

You then open the case and kind of flip it back on itself like in the photo below:

The smart phone then sits where the cassette used to go and the lid/base acts as a balance to hold the whole thing upright.

So if you enjoy watching clips on your smart phone or a small tablet and do not have a stand then this is a quick easy and free solution to that problem. You don't always want to sit and hold the phone in your hand.

It would also be handy if you were following a recipe from your smart phone as then you would not need to keep touching the phone and could read and see it easily.

Cassettes!! Wow I have not seen those for years, there is a whole generation who will not know what a cassette is!

LOL yep floppy discs! I come from the generation that can remember cassettes, videos, and floppy discs but LPs were a little before my time emoticon :winking:

I was in a charity shop yesterday when the assistant refused to take a large collection of videos, cassettes and cds from a customer who was giving them for charity,I felt really old then---
I think your idea is clever by the way.

I remember them too and the small single discs too that played at 45 instead of 33 speed

That's a good idea however I'm not sure how many people will still have these around! Do they make it sound better too ?

That's very creative. I don't think I have any cassette cases left these days

I still have cassettes about (stored away at my mother's), but I do not have a smart phone. I really don't feel a need for one.

What a clever idea! I think they call they work-arounds "life hacks" these days. This is a useful one for sure.

I think my Stepfather has loads of cassettes, I may ask him for a couple of cases! Thank you so much for sharing this tip.

Lol that's a nice idea but who have these kind of old cassettes holders at these times? I have none...

What a great idea! I hadnt even thought of this. I am sure I still have a few cassettes laying around somewhere. My seven year old probably wouldnt even know what they are!
