A scary thought

After reading the news this morning that a patient is being tested for Ebola at a Manchester hospital I must admit to thinking how scary that is.When I read about this awful disease it usually about Africa or even the poor nurse in London but now it feels a bit too close to home.

The spokespeople have said that it is unlikely and just precautionary as this person has a history of travelling to West Africa. It just shows how easily it could come over here with the simplicity of travel these days.

Let us just hope this turns out to be a false alarm for the poor person involved and also for those connected to them.

We had our own dose of Ebola hysteria a couple months back, so hopefully you don't have to experience the same!

There is nothing you can gain by getting worried about it. Are there no prophylactic measures available?

I pray for every body living every where from any disease or any other bad thing to happen

It is frightening, I am sure that we will have a case recorded like this in the near future :(

It appals me that Britain never even considers introducing any proper controls at the border when such diseases become prevalent.

the media is making out on ebola like a horror movie plague - it's bad but not as bad as they make out in the panic-mongering

It is a shame that in this day and age, medicinal advances still cannot help those infected with Ebola, I really do hope it is brought under control soon.

It is ve ry scary just thinking of the whole ebola scare, it is a very serious situation, they need to come up with a plan to stop the rapid spread of ebola, perhaps just stop transportation to and from countries heavily effected by ebola would be the answer, but then how would these countries get any help? it just seems there are no correct answers to solve everything,

That whole Ebola story sure has been scary. There were the Samaritan's Purse doctor, nurse and aid workers who got the disease while in Africa trying to help. They got treated in America and survived.
