My husband could never doubt my love for him!

What do some husbands look for from their wives as signs that their wives are still in love with them, that they are still "interested?" Do they watch to see if their wives still give them an appreciative glance? Or do they look in their wives' lingerie drawers to see if new pieces are still being bought to impress them? Are there still lingering kisses? Date nights or vacations planned well in advance?

Heck no! All of these things are just a scratch on the surface of the depth of a woman's love. Now that my husband and I have reached a quarter of a century of marriage, the secret has been unlocked!

Wanna know what it is, fellas?

I'll tell you! When your wife buys you underwear to replace all of your holey, threadbare, raggedy shreds that you insist on wearing with no notice of the fact that there's actually no back in two-thirds of what you have in your underwear drawer, that is the telltale sign of true love.

Beware the wife who allows you to continue in your ways, wearing blownout drawers and socks. The spark has definitely gone out of your marriage and you need to scramble to rekindle it.

I'd start doing everything I could to win her affection back - massages, gifts of perfume, flowers, lavish dinners...

Hopefully, it's not too late...

Haha, I don't do anyone's laundry but my own! I must only love myself.

My husband has never bought one piece of his own underwear in the last 27 years. Wonder what he would do if I didn't do it for him? Maybe I don't want to know - yikes!

Thank goodness my wife doesn't buy me socks and underwear like those above! Wait a minute... you didn't get the photo from Pixabay? It's you're own? Uh, more information than I wanted! Just kidding...

Rofl I have to admit that having thrown the same pair of hubby's boxers away three times I resorted to putting a patch on them.
It read. 'my boyfriend thinks my buns look good in these'
There was smoke as they hit the bin lol

The heart is a piece of fabric I cut out for the purpose of my photo - isn't it a lovely work of art? heehee

This made me laugh! How funny! Why didn't I think of that? You are definitely a kindred spirit.

You are right, those are great signs of love! Buying things for your loved one is always a sign you love and care for them.

My husband definitely appreciates it. I think he is just glad that he doesn't have to go shopping for them himself.

THAT is it!Is that true? Then my wife's love to me has escaped through the window

My hubby isnt too bad about that, he will throw them away when they start getting holes in them. What I cant get him to get rid of is a pair of cut off shorts that he has.

I had to giggle at your comment. I'm just having a bit of fun with the husbands - keeping them on their toes. My husband is the one who would wear his underwear until it turns into a fishnet! heehee

This is where I wish we could edit comments! I made one of those senior slips in my comment above. Sigh. Oh, yes... It's a regular work of art. I'm not showing THIS article to my wife. It might give her ideas I don't want her to have... GRIN.

You should check the comment further up by MrsMerlin - read what patch she put on her hubby's undies...heehee

wolfgirl569 wrote on January 13, 2015, 1:07 PM

He would still wear them lol

Thankfully my other half doesn't like his underwear falling apart with holes in them, his socks however I have to throw those away and get new

PeggyWds wrote on January 13, 2015, 6:57 PM

Haha! My hubby of 44 years and counting always makes sure his underwear is up to date. I tend to wear socks and such that tend to get threadbare long before he does.

angelaterese13 wrote on January 13, 2015, 9:55 PM

Mine is bad about the socks, too. I don't think he's ever bought a pair of socks in the last 30 years either....

angelaterese13 wrote on January 13, 2015, 9:57 PM

You must have done a really good job with his marital training. I think the marriage manual 44 years ago, was a better edition...heehee

Probably not wear underwear. My fiance went to the Naval Academy so he folds his socks in a certain way like they told him to. It's really weird. I just throw all my socks in the drawer and hope I can find matching ones.

OnlyErin6 wrote on January 14, 2015, 1:16 AM

Actually, come to think of it, I have about 3 pairs of raggedy underwear I've had since I was uh... like 15 or something. That's almost 10 years. I'm probably worse than your hubby.

"Blownout" drawers? Oh my, sounds like there's a productive source of natural gas somewhere ;)
