The Grand Canyon is certainly That!

Visiting the Grand Canyon is an experience one is likely never to forget. I have had the good fortune to visit it in both the summer time of year as well as the winter.

Naturally it is more crowded in the summers but whenever one has a chance to travel there and gaze down upon its wonders, it is well worth it.

When I took a German girlfriend of mine there many years ago it crossed something off of her wish list and I still remember the tears in her eyes when gazing upon it for the first time. She was overwhelmed with emotions!

My hubby and I have friends who have taken the mule ride down into the canyon and I know another person who has had experiences in rafting through the canyon.

While I have only visited this national park and gazed upon it from the many vantage points on several occasions, it is enough of a thrill and memory maker for me.

Have you ever visited the Grand Canyon? If not, it is on your bucket list?

I've never visited the Grand Canyon but would like to have the experience. I can see how someone could be overwhelmed with its beauty and ruggedness.

We have, and there is no amount of picture that can do it justice. It is something that has to be seen to appreciate.

Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon but if I ever get to America it is on my 'to-do' list for sure :)

I have visited it twice (the south rim) and once to the north as well, and I've taken a short flight over the end of it. It certainly is spectacular. I would love to do the walk from one rim to another which I believe is only 10 miles and can be done in one day if you start early enough! The logistics of getting back again are tricky though - unless you just walk back it's an awfully long way around!

Come to think of it Grand Canyon isn't on my bucket list but boy it ought to be!

I have yet to visit it. I would like to, though. However, it might be a while before we are in that region.

The Grand Canyon is spectacular. A place everyone should visit once their lifetime. I would also heartily recommend Crater Lake in Oregon.

I've been there a couple of time. I'm glad we were able to take the children. I wish we had had more time there since it was very crowded when we went.
