Would you have killed them?
Nobody can fail to have seen and heard about the awful tragedy in Paris this week where two extremists attacked the satirical newspaper and then continued their killing spree across France. I don't want to go into detail here as I am sure you all know this story inside out.
The Kouachi brothers allegedly (have to say that to cover the law) killed the 12 people in the newspaper office while their 18 year old accomplice Mourad Hamyd was outside and killed a police officer (who did hand himself in)
Four more people died in a Kosher supermarket as a protest to the Kourachi brothers being pursued, the male gunman was killed and his female accomplice is now believed to be in Syria.
Just after five on Friday afternoon/evening the Kouachi brothers were shot as they left a printing press in Dammartin-en-Goele
What annoys me and I would like your feedback on is that to some other extremists, these animals have become martyrs as they died in a 'holy war' as they now turned against the Jewish community in addition to the other communities they had issued a Jihad on.
To me the Muslim policeman that was shot is far more likely and deserving of martyrdom because he died defending the people of Paris - defending human life and honouring their religious teachings.
What you would you have done if you were in charge? Would you kill them at the first chance or would you capture the men and lock them away for life thus stopping other extremists from hero worshiping them?
I know which one I would choose - they would rot in a tiny cell , they would have no contact with the outside word - no way to pass messages to the people outside. They would be made to face up to the true Muslim leaders and explain to them how they are fighting in the name of Islam and face whatever punishment their religion requires
Why do people call them holy wars when they involve killing people? Is that not what should define them as 'unholy wars'?
