Big Garden Bird Watch

During the weekend of the 24th January the RSPB are asking all of us to spend an hour just watching the birds that come into our gardens and count them. You can register on line and get a free information pack and then use this to help you to know how to attract birds into the garden .All the information is gathered together and then we can see which birds are doing well and which are the most common.

In my garden I don't have a large range and the ones that do come along are the common ones like blackbirds, sparrows and robins.I have only ever seen a jay once in all the years I have lived here. There was also a sparrowhawk that came and killed a bird in the garden once but apart from that drama we just get the usual garden birds.

I have registered for my free pack and I am looking forward to spending an hour with a cup of coffee looking out of the window and watching and counting away.

My mom was an avid bird watcher. She recorded numbers and migrations for the Audebon Society. She had binoculars you could see moon rocks with emoticon  .

I like to see the birds in my Garden and we feed them but I'm not a bird watcher.

I think that is a bless moment of a person life like you! If only life can be that peaceful and wonderful I think the world will be better and a great place to live in. To Jesus be the glory for your life and to the happiness that God is bringing in your life.

I am not very good at identifying birds but I think that this is a great idea!

I do have a garden at the front and at the rear of the house, but birds are not frequent visitors because my neighbour's cat is usually around.
