She Broke My Fragile Heart

When I was in the polytechnic, I fell in love with an amazingly gifted and brilliant science student. She melted my life away each time I saw her. I was in love. She was so beautiful that I become possessed with thoughts about here, Her sweet melodious voice was amazingly nice to my ears. We exchanged numbers the very first day we met hoping for the best to come.

Strangely, her number was a fake one, she had no phone. I tried to reach her several times to no avail. Personal visits to her departments even never made it possible to meet her. Nobody seemed to know her.

But thankfully, we bumped into each other a few weeks later at the very place we met on campus. We spoke at length under the neem tree in front of the students notice board and I was scared I was going to miss her again. We shared great moments as Platonic friend for almost three months then I proposed love to her on her birthday. She said nothing, later she said I should wait for the reply.

Shockingly, she told me, her parents had warned her not to marry from my tribe and that she was not ready to disobey her parents. I felt my heart jerk in my chest. I paid her a few visits at her department, while we shared gifts and at home but she kept vanishing from my life till one day she told me.

She was not ready to be my wife in future. I was sad, sad because she I felt she was avoiding me for the simple reason that, I was not from a well to do home.

Sadly this is not an unusual scenario and is a fact of life.

Sad to say, I enjoy her conversations up to date. No hard feelings about that. She is pretty.

It is sad but a part of life people will break our heart if we give all. I have decided it will be just myself and my dog.

sometimes traditions are hard to break and some children are afraid to disappoint their parents

I would love to hear more about your tribe.

You fell in love with her beautiful face and melodious voice but you didn't really know what was beneath all that. If she cares about where you come from or how well to do you are, then she is not as beautiful inside as she is on the outside.

Like seriously? She is beautiful in character than even in appearance. I can tell you that for a fact. Parents are the trouble

Look forward to telling u more about that later.

That is true but not in this case. This is a perception held by parents and used to unintentionally make children to make wrong choices just to please parents

Your decision is not good enough. think about it again. Everyone needs a companion

I am sorry this happened to you. I am sure you will find the right woman at the right time who will love you. Then you will get married.

Awww, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you two. Sometimes the timing isn't right. Sometimes others get in the way. Chin up … tomorrow is a new day :)
