One of those days!

Have you ever had one of those days when you know almost right from the start that it is not going to be good.

I have a routine first thing in the morning. When I get up, I go in and brush my teeth. I then head to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. From the bathroom to the kitchen I came across 2 piles of cat hairballs. Oh yeah, I really don't like cleaning up those messes when I am fully awake much less when I only have one eye open.

After cleaning up the hairballs, I went to get a coffee cup out of the cabinet (knowing coffee would be soon streaming through my body). I got the cup which just seemed to jump right out of my hand onto the floor. Needless to say it was starting to look like coffee may not happen today. I managed to get all the broken cup off the floor and got a cup of coffee made. I realized I only had that one coffee pod for the coffee maker. Grrr!

By then I was running late to pick up my daughter and her family at the airport. I needed to run to her friends house to pick up my daughter's mini van. Get out of my car click on the key bob and started wondering why the door was not unlocking. You have got to be kidding me. They had given me the wrong set of keys to the minivan. I had to run to my daughter's house (half a hour away) and then back to the minivan. Meanwhile, I am getting texted by my daughter telling me they are pulling into the terminal. I finally got them. The day did get better upon seeing them and watching my 3 year old granddaughter's face light up when she saw me walking towards them in the airport. Then my 18 month old granddaughter saw me too (her parents did not).

Once they got me back to my car the first place I stopped was Dunkin Donuts for a Large cup of coffee.

Hopefully your day is going a little better than mine so far. Have a great day.

Now that I am home, I am trying not to have to leave the house. I am afraid of what can happen today. LOL

This is a day when you really have to pull all your inner resources together, and focus on,how great it is to have your family. Think about Paris, and you'll feel grateful. Sending you a big hug.

Vickiw, thank you. I am very grateful to have my family. Also, I have been watching what has been going on in Paris and am grateful to be safe today. I was even thinking of them as I was headed to the airport thinking about how in today's world you just can't take for granted that everything will be okay.
