Do's and Don'ts When Dealing With Disabled People!

There are many things that one should avoid when dealing with the disabled. We have so many types of disabilities that are found in our society. We have the blind who cannot see, the deaf who cannot hear and talk, the lame and crippled who are challenged to walk, the albinos who have skin color challenge and many others. We should never keep on touching a blind person without any particular reason. They keep on thinking you are telling them something which they become alert to understand only to realize it was just a touch. Always avoid treating a disabled person with pity as disability is not inability. Avoid concentrating your eyes on the lame leg of a cripple when talking to him. Focus your gaze somewhere else. Never look at a deaf person and laugh as he may think that you are laughing at him. When he is at a distance one should never talk about him in a whisper as he can read your lips.

So true friend stbrians (sorry I tagged you in a wrong way on my post) . We must not look down on them but rather empathisize and make them feel happy. They are differently able and as they are created by God we should respect them rather making fun of them.

Indeed they have abilities we do not have. We should be aware of that.

Yes, one should be really careful in order to avoid hurting these people because they are sensitive and sometimes even a word or a look can make them feel bad. I have few friends with disabilities and they are one of the nicest people that I know.
