My Gratitude Journal - January 8, 2014

I am grateful today for a couple of things.

First, I managed to lose 2 pounds over the last couple of days. I will take every pound. I just need to remind myself to keep working on it. One little step at a time will get me there.

Second, I am grateful that it warmed up here to 21 degrees today. I am grateful because this morning when I got up it was only 7 degrees. See 21 degrees seems warm when you look at it in that new light.

Lastly, I am grateful that my oldest daughter and her family are returning tomorrow from Puerto Rico. I am glad there were able to enjoy a nice long visit with my son-in-law's family. However, what really makes me happy is that we don't have to go over and feed my granddaughter's goldfish. She won it at a carnival over the summer. We did not want to be the people that would have to tell her if the fish should happen to die.
