Red - The color of Love...

The colors have always played a role in our lives, no matter if we were aware of it or not. However, given the psychology learning and everyday examples, we now know how they can influence our actions, our moods and even our overall behavior.

Red is a color loved by many people, and as the media taught us, it has to do a lot with passion. Nonetheless, the passion is not the only thing the color red expresses, so here are some of the most usual and unusual influences a person can get just by stumbling on this color.

As said above, red is all about and passion, but also the activity and energy. It usually is associated with the instinctual side of a person, because somebody who is exposed to red, in a way or another, feels certain needs, of which he or she is not aware of.

For example, the most notorious image of Marilyn Monroe, and idol for many, is with her in a white dress, with red lips. Those red lips made her a Sexual-symbol for people all around the world.

When i see the colour red, I too see passion but love in particular isn't always the first thing that comes to my mind. But yes, it is the universal colour for love. I, on the other hand, see anger and rage as well.

interesting that red also represents danger as with traffic warning signals and a matador's bull taunting cloak

I guess it is the fact that lips and heart are red that it has become the colour of love - red roses etc

I hate some kinds of red, such as red light and bleeding.

Great insights on the color red. Different shades may evoke different feelings, but I guess all of them could be called passion. Deep red can denote rage, while bright red may show the joy of living.

Red is actually my favourite colour. A very dynamic colour never looked into the energy of colours though.
