Wendy's Ciabatta Bacon Cheeseburger Review

"Ciabatta" anything is not normally something that I would order, but I'm cheap. So during the time 's was featuring a Ciabatta Bacon Cheeseburger, I had a coupon to get one free with the purchase of a drink and fries, and I decided to try it out.

The Ciabatta Bacon Cheeseburger came on a toasted ciabatta bun with roasted tomatoes, a creamy rosemary garlic aioli sauce, fresh spring mix, and Asiago cheese. I have to say I was not particularly impressed.

I personally did not care for the sauce. The ciabatta bun was pretty good, but just didn't seem to go with hamburger. The entire mix would have been much more at appropriate on an Italian sub. It all just covered up and overwhelmed the bacon and beef patty, which were, as usual from Wendy's, juicy and delicious.

The Ciabatta Bacon Cheeseburger was something that was okay, once, for free, but it's seriously not something I would have been willing to spend the $4.89 regular price to buy. Just give me a plain old bacon cheeseburger and I'll be happy.

I am the same way. That is pricey but I love the bread. I also use coupons when trying something new.

Me, too. I love Wendy's, but I can't afford anything not on the value menu unless I have a coupon.

Glad I read that. I would have been tempted, since Wendy's is within walking distance from me if I want to walk a mile.

I don't think it's still on the menu now.
