Elderberry Syrup for Reducing Allergy Symptoms Naturally

I hate using allergy medication because it simply does not work all on its own and it causes side effects. Lately, I do have to use one, but I also make and take homemade elderberry syrup to go along with it to help reduce my allergy symptoms further and reduce my constant sniffles. As long as I take the elderberry syrup with the allergy medication I am able to find relief, which is why I am going to share with all of you this elderberry syrup recipe to help fight off your allergies too.

The ingredients you will need to make the elderberry syrup are a pound of dried elderberries, two pounds of raw organic farm fresh honey, a liter of elderberry juice and a one fluid ounce bottle of a blend of Echinacea and goldenseal tincture. These ingredients are all easy to find at your local herbal shop if you do not already have them on hand. I also seem to have them on hand because I am always making the syrup since I always have to take it in order to stay healthy.

To make the elderberry syrup for fighting off allergy symptoms and even cold and flu ones is by placing the dried elderberries into a large pot with the elderberry juice. Then, place a lid onto the pot and place the pot onto the stove burner. Then, turn the burner on medium heat and bring the ingredients to a roaring boil. After, strain the elderberries from the elderberry juice mixture in the pan. After, pour the elderberry berry juice into a large jar and add in the all honey and bottle of tincture. Then, combined the elderberry juice in with the honey and tincture to create a deep elderberry syrup. Once it is made, you can store it in the refrigerator and take a few tablespoons each day to help control allergy and cold and flu symptoms naturally.

However, those allergic to any of the ingredients in this remedy should not use it. Pregnant or nourishing moms should not use it either since the side effects are unknown. Otherwise, this remedy is safe to take and works wonders for reducing allergy and cold and flu symptoms since the elderberries contain loads of antioxidants and medicinal properties that help support the immune system naturally.
