My 2015 Crochet Challenge

I opened an Etsy shop last year, called Designs by Katie Anne . It's named after my grandmothers. So far, I mostly have ruffle scarves uploaded to it. I have one poncho design that I can make to order and ship in about 10 days.
When I started this post I thought one item per week was a good goal to set. Then I remembered that in the Etsy coaching, they recommend having at least 100 items in your store as soon as possible. I have about ten items so far. Since I can whip out hats and scarves pretty quickly, I am going to set my first goal at 100 items. Hopefully I will get there long before the end of the year.
Since I look forward to a big craft event in Texas Tech country during homecoming weekend every year, many of my items will be red and black so that I am also well stocked up for that event as well! Not everything can be red and black of course, but you can bed a lot of it will be geared for my Red Raider fans!
The photo in this post is my daughter, modeling the poncho that I made for her. I can make this poncho in any color combination. I have made it in Red & Black and Navy & Lime Green (the theme colors for the gym where I teach Zumba now). I think it's great that ponchos are back in style. It's like wearing a warm, cozy, handmade blanket! Perfect for cold nights at the football game or around the camp fire.
If you make handmade items and would like to make some extra money, Etsy is a great place to get started. It's super user friendly and it really is THE number one online marketplace for handmade goods! If you sign up using this link, we both will receive 40 free listings. There is still a small fee when you sell an item, but it is well worth it for all the technology and traffic Etsy takes care of for you.

That is very pretty! My older sister is also doing that. I do not have the patience at all for that. : )
