My 2015 Crochet Challenge

I opened up my own Etsy shop last year. It's named after my two grandmothers: Designs by KatieAnne . So far I only have ruffly scarves (ready to ship) and children's ponchos (made to order) uploaded. Etsy recommends loading at least 100 items as soon as possible to generate more traffic to your store. That's a LOT of items!

When I sat down to write this post I was going to set my goal at one completed item per week. That would only get me 52 items by the end of the year. Since I can bust out hats and scarves pretty quickly, I think 100 items should really be a piece of cake. Add to that the fact that I already have a few items in my shop...my goal should be to have 100 items in my shop by the end of the year.

The image in this post is actually some of the scarves I have listed. I currently have ten scarves listed and a poncho that can be made to order in any color combination.

There is a big craft show in Plainview, Texas in October that I go to with friends. That is during homecoming weekend for Texas Tech. Their colors are red and black, so a lot of what I make should be in those colors to prepare me for that show, too. A few football baby buntings/cocoons would be good items to have on hand at that event too.

I hope you do well with your crochet goal. That sounds like a lot of work.

Whoa! 100 a year! That is a big goal to meet but it sounds like you can do it!

Wow! Sounds like you are busy and I'm sure you could get 100 items listed on Etsy pretty easily. Especially with crocheted items since it's so much quicker than knitting. I bet you could make ear warmers of some kind in Texas Tech red and black, too. Or does it get that cold down there? Ha! I'm hoping to get a store opened up at Etsy this month. I hope. I hope. I hope. I have plenty of stuff made already to at least get it started.
