Booked a Role on Law & Order SVU
I am a background actor for film and TV, and I've had a role for 3 seasons now as a background inmate on Orange is the New Black. That show has finished filming Season 3, and is in hiatus right now, so I have the opportunity to do other things. It's been very quiet in December for the holidays, with very few projects shooting, but now it's January and it should start to pick up.
I have booked a role on the long-running and popular Law & Order SVU shooting tomorrow, Wednesday. All I know is I will be portraying a hospital patient. I will be getting my wardrobe details, call time and location sometime later today. I really only want to do interior scenes when it's so cold out, and I'm assuming this will be interior. It had better be! During the cold winter months they will usually say "exterior" so you know what you're getting into before you submit for the role.
I haven't worked background in a few weeks due to the holidays, so I'm looking forward to this job :)

amyk49 Wow, that is really cool. I used to watch that series, but now not so much. Still it's a great gig. You can probably give us more details so we can catch the episode(s).

WHAT! That sounds like an awesome job. How does one get into that. You are famous. I am writing on a famous persons post. Seriously congrats!

How cool! I've never seen Orange is the New Black before, but I use to watch SVU. You'll have to let us know when this episode you're in will be broadcast so we know to tune in!

Very cool. A friend just called us to tell us to watch a show his brother was in for a moment. I guess he gets various spots like that. Sounds interesting to me.

"Hospital patient" sounds safely interior. Hope you stay safely nice and warm. I wonder if people fall asleep (but not you!) in those positions. But then again, there must be a whole lot of commotion.

I used to do background work too. I bought a used fur coat for all the outdoor winter scenes. I really saved me!

Congratulations on the new booking. I have never watched law and order but I absolutely love Orange is the New Black.

I think your extra work is so much fun -- I did some when I was living out in Utah, and had a blast.

Holy Cow! I met a real actor on Persona Paper! That's a first for me on any site I've ever been on. I'm happy for you, and I hope that you can make a living at it full time if you want to. Have you ever thought of working a soap like Young and the Restless?

Great news about the role with SVU. I used to watch a lot of Law & Order but haven't so much these later seasons. Of all the shows, SVU was so intense that sometimes I couldn't bear to watch. Don't forget your Kindle.

It was a fun shoot. I'm pretty sure I will be seen on camera walking down the hospital corridor with an IV bag on one of those wheeled carts. This is Season 16, Episode 13.

I get a lot of work from Central Casting and Casting Networks. You can see me a lot in Orange is the New Black, especially season 2. I will also be in Season 3, but it hasn't aired yet.

I haven't been watching it either lately, but I will for sure tune in for this episode, which is episode 13 of season 16. Pretty sure you'll see me walking down the hospital corridor with an IV bag on one of the wheeled carts (back to the camera), blonde hair, gray sweat pants, deep blue big sweater :)
