Another day spent hiding from the COLD

Baby, it's COLD outside!

This morning when I woke up, it was hovering around 10 degrees Farenheit. I checked the weather only to find that the windchill has made it feel like -12 degrees. BRR. Yesterday was very much the same way with the only saving grace being the lack of blustery winter winds. Today I think we're supposed to have about 15 mile-an-hour winds. Even with a little breeze, the cold cuts straight through you.

I think our plan for today is, stay home. I don't have anything that I need to get done outside of my four walls. Will has already pretty much decided that we're getting delivery for lunch. For dinner, I think we have some mac and cheese tucked away in the cupboard.

is -23 Celsius close to 10 F? That 's our temperature at the moment. We are used to it though.

This is the time of year when soups, stews and casseroles seem the perfect fit, don't they?

Absolutely. I really should make some chili some day. Just having a crock pot bubbling away will make me think it's warmer than it actually is.

I don't think so, but I've never really been good at converting to or from Celsius. The US really should get with the program and drop Fahrenheit.

The heat in our apartment is on but I think they've been turning it on and off recently. We don't have control over our heating unfortunately; our landlord does.

Batton down the hatches and get your self cosy, I doubt I'd want to venture out in those conditions either.

Now that is cold we had a few minus days but it has warmed up again. I am working in centigrade by the way.

I hibernate during the winter. I just can't handle the cold any more, and I only go out if I must.

Nebraska does get those cold winds. I live at Ft. Riley, Kansas when I was in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I remember walking to school in the blowing snow; I could barely see anything. !

It's been cold here too, though things warmed up somewhat when the snow started falling two days ago. Now it's just really white out there....
