They are getting so fat!

I feed near a tree out in front of the house every day. From the looks of these guys, I'm going to have to build a squirrel-gym so they can start working out.

Yep, they are getting just a bit chunky. There are only a few out there this morning, but iI get upwards of a dozen out there in the afternoon when I put fresh corn and bird seed out.

My cat Louie loves to sit at the front window and watch them. I know he's thinking to himself "Lunch!"

And you know...I could make one heck of a big pot of chowder if I had a mind to...but I'd rather just enjoy watching them frisking about in the yard. Unfortunately, I don't get any of the albino squirrels here in my yard that our town is famous for. Haven't seen any of them in the yard for a few years, although a neighbor down the block has a pair that frequent his feeder.

It's a shame Grey Squirrels are an invasive species in my country and there are plans for a cull. I hope the Red Squirrels manage to make a comeback and they can both stay :)

Those are definitely some big old squirrels. Those could keep your cat fed for weeks...lol

We've got grey, brown, red (fox), white, and black squirrels all within the area I live in.

We only have red squirrels where I live in Spain, and they donĀ“t seem to eat anything other than their natural food of pine cones, yours look very rotund, maybe you should cut down on the corn.

I do not like the squirells close to my house as they can sometimes be destructive. But I do enjoy watching them run and play.

I live in an area with LOTS of trees, so they don't bother trying to get into my attic or anything like that

Thats good I have had them in the house before. Most around me stay in the back where the trees are.

Absolutely adorable. Grey squirrels get a bad press over here because they are more successful than our native Reds, blah-de-blah. I don't care what colour they are..ALL of them are cute..so there! Have you got names for your little furry friends yet? I guess it would help if you knew what sex they are. I watch two Greys in a wooden nest on a webcam (usually at night when they use it to sleep) and Mum has at least one burying nuts in her garden. She finds them in plant pots sometimes. I reckon your squirrels are all filled out with their fur..bit like cats during the winter. That would be a good excuse to carry on feeding them anyway!
