Don't wanna go back to work!

Hello there Persona friends!!

Well, for those of you that don't know, I work for the local school district here and have been off for the last two weeks. Woohoo! I love winter break! :) But now it's over and time to face reality. Lol and that sucks.

I have accomplished so much the last couple of weeks. The majority of my house is clean and organized and I finished a bunch of homework for my degree! I feel like after I work all day long, the last thing I wanna do is clean my house and do homework. Lol please tell me I'm not the only one?!

Somehow though, I gotta figure out a way to do it. Because otherwise things build up and then soon enough my house is a disaster and I have a whole lot of homework to catch on!

How do you guys balance everything in your life?

I'm studying to be a teaching assistant at the moment, and have a placement in my son's school, so I have been enjoying having two weeks off. We're back in tomorrow though, then on Tuesday I am going to get my head stuck back into my studies - there was no way on this earth I could have even opened my book whilst the kids were home and badgering me all the time!

I'm a stay at home mom, which should mean my house is immaculate but I also have two kids who attend an online public school and I'm their learning coach which means much of my day is taken up with guiding them through lessons, going over material, grading assignments and entering results, etc. Add to that I work online from home and I have the same problem you do, by the time all of that is accomplished, I really don't feel like doing all the other stuff -- but of course dishes must be washed, laundry must be done, floors must be swept, so I normally don't sleep like I should just trying to get it all done.

I try to do a little house work each day rather than have one full day I devote to house work. That way I can keep up with it along with the other work I have to do. Sometimes I will just dash around loading the dishwasher and tidying the kitchen while waiting for the kettle to boil. I seem to have become better at doing, say, 5 minutes of speedy housework several times a day!

What kind of teacher are you in the local school district? What grade do you teach? I admire teachers.
