When my cousin kept lobster as pet

A few years ago my cousin bought a small pet lobster.

He kept it in a medium size 2 feet tank.

When I visited him, I always stood in front of the fish tank to look at the lobster.

The lobster looked so small and lonely.

I teased my cousin about cooking the lobster.

I could think of so many ways to eat lobsters, but that pet lobster did not seem to grow at all.

My cousin said that the lobster had changed his shell a few times, but to me, it still looked so tiny.

It was even smaller than the shrimps sold in supermarket.

I think my cousin did not really take care of his pet lobster well, because it died after a year.

Pet lobster could have survived for many years.

I thought to myself: where is this headed? to some pot? I love lobster and king crab, but frankly, I hate it they are boiled alive. That's just plain mean.

I have not had a lobster for years. I think I have crabs once in two years or so.

Me, either. But my reason is primarily fiscal. I lack the pecuniary emoluments to purchase such tasty underwater bugs...

My reason is health. I live in an island, and seafood restaurants are everywhere.

We ought to swap locations! You can be here and healthy. I can be there and sick! (and loving it).

My husband told me that he had once bought a lobster to cook and put in the refrigerator. His little sister took the lobster out, named it and played with it. She was heartbroken when he cooked her friend.

Do lobsters make good pets? Or is the temptation to eat them too great?

A lobster as a pet? First I hear that! I agree, it's really a temptation to me.

A lobster as a pet? Now that is highly unusual. But I'm with Vince. I don't like to see creatures boiled alive.

Is the lobster still alive in the fridge? If it is, I can understand how heartbroken the little sister is.

Yes. The lobster was alive until he cooked he. He told her to leave it alone before he put it in there.

I haven't heard about pet lobsters before. My mother once tried to cook a lobster while it was still alive and the lobster crawled out of the pot. I don't cook lobsters, I don't like the idea of boiling them alive.

I don't eat crab or lobster much. I had a king prawn for a pet once. Nobody dared cook Whiskers!

Wow, King Prawn!! You keep it in freshwater or seawater?
