enjoying my Saturday
Good afternoon to you all from here in the United Kingdom
It is Saturday and the weather here is miserable. It's grey, it's raining and it's cold. But I don't have to go anywhere today so am sat snug and warm in the living room, in jogging bottoms and a t shirt.
I am also having a Star Wars DVD marathon. I know some of you will think me very sad, but these are my favourite films. I grew up with them and never grew out of them. They are just a joy to watch over and over. Today is the first three films that were released chronologically, episodes four, five and six. May be the other three will get watched later, but I think there is some football on as well today. (It just gets better)
Catch you later

Hey don't worry about being a Star Wars fan, I am too! I've also forced my son to love the films too haha.

Hello again John, Star Wars are not my favorite and I never have movie marathons, but if you like, why not.

It's grey and rainy here too, but no problem for me as I've got the cricket to watch. If only my computer would stop dragging me away from it.
I've never really been a Star Wars fan. I prefer Star Trek.

I prefer the trilogy starting with the original Star Wars from 1977. They were a fun romp through space - a good vs evil sort of story. When they started making the prequels, they got all self-conscious and tried too hard to take themselves seriously. What fun is that?
ison1 wrote on January 3, 2015, 9:59 AM
Yes, I agree and they are the one's I am watching. Sorry, I meant chronological in their release dates
ison1 wrote on January 3, 2015, 10:00 AM
I like start trek too.(super nerd alert!) How is the cricket going?
ison1 wrote on January 3, 2015, 10:01 AM
I rarely get the chance so am making the most of it :)

That is extremely good parenting in my opinion! :)

Football, after star wars, my dear, your brain cells are drying up. My lovely, read a book, go for a walk, do something with your life.
karen5416 wrote on January 3, 2015, 10:35 AM
Yeah you are very sad heehee. Hope you have a great day
ison1 wrote on January 3, 2015, 10:38 AM
Some days should be set aside for doing nothing and allowing brain cells a rest :)
ison1 wrote on January 3, 2015, 10:39 AM
hahaha, I know!
cmarvel wrote on January 3, 2015, 11:29 AM
Resting brain cells is different from killing brain cells... YOU ARE KILLING YOUR BRAIN CELLS (just in case you missed the message lol)
cmarvel wrote on January 3, 2015, 11:30 AM
Ditto that Karen5416, I totally agree with you.
cmarvel wrote on January 3, 2015, 11:31 AM
Why not? Let me tell you why not, because I have to SUFFER through it as well. That is a new level of punishment! Believe me.

I had a relaxing Saturday. I was home with some crosswords, coffee, cookies and books.
maxeen wrote on January 3, 2015, 3:45 PM
is it as punishing as having to watch the Simpsons witch a certain person is mad on here..
maxeen wrote on January 3, 2015, 3:51 PM
I've walked for 2hours and I am not feeling a bit guilty as I eat my senteur brandy chocholate and read and idle the day away. The rule in the UK is if it rains with grey skys then we can skive....

I have never watched a Star Wars film before, they just don't appeal to me.

Lol it's banned in my house and the teen was told he would be banished if he scarred my tv for life with it. if he watches on his own tv he will be fine.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I own two lightsabers, ones from middle school. I had such a great time pretending to be yoda.
